Xbox One Game – Dead Rising 3
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
You may be getting curious as to what free games you will be able to nab this coming month of October 2020 through your Xbox Live Gold subscription with Games with Gold. While the offical list has yet to be revealed, we do have some Xbox Games with Gold predictions to mull over in the meantime.
Almost always the list includes one Xbox One and one Xbox 360 game, and for October it would be smart for Microsoft to choose a horror game to market alongside Halloween.
In the past we have seen Darksiders II in October 2014, The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season in October 2015, I Am Alive in October 2016, and Friday The 13th in October 2019.
That’s why for next month we predict Dead Rising 3 developed by Capcom will be offered for free.
Dead Rising 3 was originally a launch title for the Xbox One back in 2013. Its zombie-apocalypse setting would be perfect for an October inclusion.
Microsoft also has included Capcom games in the past on Games with Gold, including Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition in June 2014 and others including series prequel Dead Rising 2 in August 2013.
With the game coming out so long ago as well, it seems less likely for Microsoft to care about offering it for free since most people who would ever have been interested in purchasing the game would have done so by now a long time ago.
Xbox 360 Game – Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
After an Xbox One title, usually a smaller indie or Disney/LEGO/etc. licensed title on Xbox 360 makes the list as well.
For October 2020 we predict this will be Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, a 2013 remaster by Sega of the original Sega Genesis game of the same name.
Disney games are all too common inclusions for Xbox 360 titles on Games with Gold in the last few years, including:
- Brave: The Video Game in March 2018
- Cars 2: The Video Game in April 2018
- Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two in August 2018
- Meet the Robinsons in July 2019
- Disney’s Bolt in October 2019
- Toy Story 3 in December 2019, and much more
This is likely because there are simply fewer and fewer Xbox 360 titles to choose from for Games with Gold as time goes on.
It probably won’t be long until Microsoft announces only Xbox One games will be offered on Games with Gold in the future as the company shifts gears into the next generation. Sony has already done this with PS Plus, when starting back in March 2019 the program only gifted PS4 games moving forward and dropped any future PS3 or PS Vita inclusions.
Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in the next week or so when the Xbox Games with Gold free games for October 2020 are officially revealed.
