What Nintendo Switch Owners Can Expect During This Year’s Tokyo Game Show
It was announced during last week’s Nintendo Direct that ports of Resident Evil Revelations and its sequel will be coming to the Switch next year alongside HD Rumble support, Joy-Con motion control support, local multiplayer and all of each titles’ DLC. Seeing as how Capcom usually has a big presence at Tokyo Game Show, fans can expect to see more footage of the games running on the hybrid console.
Fans may also be able to witness other games ported to the console as well, like Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6, Devil May Cry 4, DmC and others. Each of these has been ported over to current generation hardware before, after all, and Capcom may be willing to make the jump considering how well the Switch is doing.

With rumors circulating for quite a while now that Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have something prepared for the Nintendo Switch – perhaps even in the form of Dark Souls 3 – there’s a pretty decent chance that Switch/FromSoftware fans could get some kind of juicy announcement this week.
Though Bandai Namco may just reveal a port of Code Vein for the system, that in itself will be worthwhile considering how Dark Souls in spirit it seems to be. Aside from that, additional support for the console may come given its recent success. Seeing as how the Switch has a lot going for it at the moment, the chances of Bandai Namco and FromSoftware getting together is high.

Though Lyn from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade was confirmed to be making an appearance in Fire Emblem Warriors last week during Nintendo’s Direct, it’s likely Koei Tecmo may have more reveals up its sleeve for Tokyo Game Show. Lyn is just one character, after all, and other games from the franchise have yet to make any appearance in Warriors.
It makes sense that more characters will be revealed for the game especially considering how close the game is to release (Oct. 20). At the very least, fans will most likely be treated to some more footage of the title in action.
Steins;Gate Elite for Switch

As previously reported by Destructoid, Steins;Gate Elite, the sequel to the critically acclaimed visual novel that warranted a fantastic anime adaptation, may be making its way over to the Switch. The game does exist in handheld and home console form by way of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, so it wouldn’t be too out of the ordinary to see the jump.

If prior years serve as any indication, Nintendo traditionally skips Tokyo Game Show and has not announced any plans to be there as of the time of this writing. Seeing as how the publisher just had a Direct focusing on upcoming games last week, it also seems unlikely that anything too noteworthy will come from the company’s first-party front.
Not unlike other conferences like Gamescom and E3, Nintendo likes to take matters into its own hands when it comes to announcements it has the most control over. Don’t expect Tokyo Game Show to buck this trend.
