Death Stranding – New PS4 Games (November 2019)

Death Stranding is easily one of the most awaited games of the year, if not the entire console generation. As the first project after Metal Gear Solid and Konami, everyone is waiting to see what Kojima and team’s new title is all about.

In Death Stranding you play as Sam Bridges, tasked with “reconnecting” civilization. A lot about Death Stranding remains shrouded in mystery, and we likely won’t know the full picture until the game is out.

However, we do know that Death Stranding is a wildly different experience from something like Metal Gear Solid. The game takes place in an open world, and puts an emphasis on exploration using tools, as well as delivering packages to destinations.

Death Stranding seems to have that same Kojima dedication to cutscenes and storytelling, featuring prominent actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Troy Baker, among others.

We may not quite know what Death Stranding is, but it’s bound to be one of the most interesting games of the year.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – New PS4 Games (November 2019)

Star Wars games have had a rough go of things in recent years, but Fallen Order looks like just what fans have been wanting, an epic single-player Star Wars experience.

Fallen Order tells the story of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi padawan who goes on the run from the Empire in the wake of Order 66. It’s an original story with entirely new characters and planets.

Fallen Order pulls inspiration from a lot of different experiences, which you can see in full detail in our hands-on preview.

The title shares a lot in commons with the Souls-like genere, focusing on methodical timing-based combat. Cal gains access to different Force powers throughout the game that you’ll utilize both in battle and out, opening up new areas Metroidvania style.

With challenging boss battles, epic set-piece moments, and surprising amount of exploration, Fallen Order looks like it could be one of the most unique Star Wars titles in years.

Shenmue III – New PS4 Games (November 2019)

Shenmue is a legendary series that helped pave the way for open world games, in more ways than one, and it was a massive surprise in 2015 when fans learned that we’d finally see Ryo Hazuki’s story continue.

After years of waiting, Shenmue III will finally arrive in November, and we’ll get to see what a “modern” Shenmue looks like.

Directly following the story of Shenmue II, the new title sees Ryo arrive in the countryside of China, continuing his quest to find his father’s killer.

Shenmue III lets you explore the sleepy Bailu Village, face off against enemies with Ryo’s martial arts, and partake in a number of minigames and side quests.

It doesn’t seem like Shenmue III is deviating too much from the franchise’s formula so far, but hopefully, some modernizations can help things along.

Sid Mier’s Civilization VI – New PS4 Games (November 2019)

It’s strange that it’s taken this long for Civilization VI to arrive on PS4, but the critically acclaimed strategy title will finally be available to console owners.

Civilization VI sports the same complex strategy of the rest of the series, but introduces a host of improvements and changes to make the experience even better.

A redesigned tech tree will help boost your research if you have the proper improvements or resources. AI has been overhauled to be more complex and influence player interactions.

On top of that, the new unstacking feature for cities puts more strategy into how you develop your cities and place buildings and improvements.

Civilization VI may have been out for years on PC, but the fantastic strategy game is well worth picking up on PS4.
