Xbox One Game – Doom (2016)
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
In a week or so we should get the offical list of what free Games with Gold titles will be included for the upcoming month of May 2020. But we broke out our crystal ball for some Xbox Games with Gold predictions in the meantime.
If you missed the reveals for the current month of April, Project Cars 2 will be free to download for Xbox Live members for the entire month, Knights of Pen and Paper Bundle between April 16 to May 15, Fable Anniversary from April 1-15, and finally Toybox Turbos from April 16-30.
Ever since 2014, Microsoft has always coupled one Xbox One title with one Xbox 360 title together for Games with Gold releases. For next month we suspect that larger Xbox One game to be Doom (2016).
Firstly, the new Doom Eternal game just released and this often is indicative that Microsoft will soon consider a way for its prequel to be offered for free in some capacity to jump up sales of the new release.
And secondly, this entry in the series also released back in 2016, with 3-4 years almost always being the bare minimum of time Microsoft will wait before offering a game for free.
Xbox 360 Game – LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
Next up with have the Xbox 360 title, and fans of the LEGO series of games should expect LEGO Marvel Super Heroes to be a likely contender.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes released way back in October 2013, and is one of the few LEGO games released on Xbox 360 that hasn’t been included on Games with Gold.
Past LEGO games on Games with Gold include:
- LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy in January 2020
- LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars in September 2018
- LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues in June 2018
- LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean in July 2017
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga in May 2017
As we can see, Microsoft has shown itself to be very comfortable including games from the LEGO games series on Games with Gold in the past.
If it’s not LEGO Marvel Super Heroes specifically then it might be LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, LEGO Batman: The Video Game, or maybe one of the LEGO Harry Potter years collections instead.
Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in the next week or so for the offical reveal of the Xbox Games with Gold games for May 2020.
