Lotta familiar faces.

Ike Amadi

Amadi is no stranger to video game voice acting. Besides taking over as the voice of Jameson Locke for Halo 5, he’s also been Javik in Mass Effect 3, Atrocitus in the DC Comics games, Drek’Thar in the Warlords of Draenor expansion of World of Warcraft, and Jawbreaker in the Skylanders games.

Laura Bailey

At this point, Olympia Vale’s voice and mocap actor Laura Bailey needs no introduction. She’s Fetch in Infamous, she’s Black Widow in the Marvel cartoons and games, she’s Wonder Woman. She’s going to return next year as Blaze the Cat in Mario & Sonic in the Olympic Games, and she’ll be in two upcoming films, one of which is currently in post-production.

Andrea Bogart

Outside of her guest roles on shows such as Monk and Rizzoli and Isles, Bogart is probably best known as Abby Haver on General Hospital or Megan Volchek on Ray Donovan. In Halo 5, she provides the mocap for the expert sniper Linda-058. She’s currently filming for a TV movie called Snowfall due out sometime in the near future.

Mike Colter

mc

This isn’t the first time that Colter’s stepped into the Halo universe. Besides performing the motion capture for Locke, he played the Spartan in the Nightfall miniseries and voiced the character himself in the cutscenes for Halo 2 Anniversary. Before joining the Microsoft sci-fi universe, he showed up on shows such as The Good Wife, The Following, and American Horror Story: Coven. Later this month, you can catch him in the Marvel universe as Luke Cage in AKA Jessica Jones before he plays Luke in a show of his own next year, which will tie in to the Defenders crossover series.

Keith David

kariter

Some known him as King from Platoon. Others know him as Goliath from Gargoyles, Captain Anderson in Mass Effect, Adventure Time’s Flame King, or Julius in Saints Row. Halo fans know him best as Elite warrior the Arbiter, and after sitting a few entries out, he makes a welcome return in 343’s second official game. On screen, you can see him on Community as Elroy Patashnik. Oh, and you can watch him on Rick and Morty as the POTUS and a Reverse Giraffe.

Brian T. Delaney

brianroland

Delaney doesn’t just voice the Infinity AI Roland for Halo. In just a few weeks, he’ll be in Fallout 4 as the Male version of the protagonist, and earlier this year, he voiced Wreck-It Ralph for Disney Infinity. He had a recurring role in multiple sketches on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and done additional voice work for games such as Evolve, Titanfall, and Battlefield Hardline.

Dan Donohue

dan

Donohue played Rafael in the series In Gayle We Trust, but some probably know him best from Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC as Teldryn Sero and Mordin Veleth. In Halo 5, he voices the Warden Eternal, and he is definitely someone you don’t want to mess with.

Steve Downes (C’mon, of course he’s in Halo 5)

downes

Downes has voiced Master Chief in every game with the Spartan, and that’s not changing at all with Halo 5. He played himself in a documentary about the convention cycle, and voiced Star-Lord in an episode of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Nathan Fillion

nathanbuck

Dude, c’mon. It’s Nathan Fillion. He’s Castle, he’s Mal Reynolds, he’s been the Green Lantern. He’s Cayde-6, aka the Best Destiny Character Ever. He’s back in the role that introduced him to the Halo universe, and he’s never been used better as Buck. Even if his video game counterpart is slightly more handsome.

Jennifer Hale

jhale

Jennifer Hale also doesn’t need any introduction at this point. Whether you know her as Commander Shepard, Bastila Shan in Knights of the Old Republic, or even Crem from Dragon Age, odds are that you’ve played a game with her voice. Hale returns once again as Spartan Sarah Palmer after making her debut in Halo 4.

Michelle Lukes

kellylukes

In addition to playing the fast Spartan Kelly-087 in Halo 5, Lukes played Julia Richmond in the Strike Back series by Cinemax. She also guest starred on the series Casualty and played Lisa Torres on the BBC series Doctors.

Melanie Minichino

mel

Minichino can currently be heard as Raya in the new Bratz series or Lian in Kung Fu Panda, but she’s had multiple live action appearances in The Sopranos and Law & Order. In Halo 5, she voices the cheerful monitor Exuberant Witness.

Cynthia Kaye McWilliams

cynthia

McWilliams is probably best known as Kacee Franklin on Prison Break or Lilly Beauchamp in The Chicago Code. More recently, you’ve probably seen her in Almost Home, Real Husbands of Hollywood, or Nashville. In Halo 5, she plays the Spartan engineer Holly Tanaka.

Darren O’Hare

darrenlasky

O’Hare returns to the Halo universe as Infinity captain Thomas Lasky, but this isn’t his first time voice acting. Besides doing voices for Final Fantasy 13-3, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and GTA V, he’s narrated for the series Yukon Men and Killer Contact.

Jen Taylor

jentaylor

Jen Taylor doesn’t just voice Cortana and Catherine Halsey in the Halo universe. Some may not know this, but she also voices the narrator in RWBY, Princess Peach and Toad in the various Mario games, Lina in DOTA 2, and Zoey in the Left 4 Dead games.

Bruce Thomas

chiefthomas

Some may remember Thomas as the 3rd Mini-Ash in Army of Darkness, or Carl Schmidt in Beverly Hills, 90210. Some may even remember him as Trager on ABC Family’s Kyle XY, or Liam’s Dad on the MTV series Faking It. For the new Halo game, Thomas does the motion capture for Master Chief.

Brittany Uomoleale

brittanylinda

Before voicing Linda, Uomoleale had two guest spots on TV shows, one of which is MTV’s Awkward. She’s also been in three short films, the most recent (Meshes of Dusk) released this year.

Travis Willingham

wilngham

Whether you know him as Thor from the Marvel cartoons or Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist, Travis Willingham isn’t a slouch to voice acting. Odds are that you’ve heard this guy’s voice in at least three of the games you own or currently play, whether it’s as Guile in the Street Fighter IV games, Knuckles in Sonic Boom, or Superman in the DC games and films. For Halo 5, he doesn’t just voice Frederick-104, he also voices Jul ‘Mdama, the Didact’s Hand.

About the author

Justin Carter

Sometimes a writer, always a dork. When he isn't staring in front of a screen for hours, he's probably reading comics or eating Hot Pockets. So many of them.
