Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
It’s almost that time for Microsoft to announce what Games with Gold free games will be coming for the upcoming month of April 2021.
For the current month of March, Xbox players received Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse, Port Royale 3, Warface: Breakout, and Metal Slug 3. We have some just for fun predictions as to what free games will be included next month, starting with Life is Strange from developer Dontnod Entertainment and publisher Square Enix.
Games released in an episodic fashion have been included on Games with Gold in the past, like Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season in October 2015 or Batman: The Telltale Series in January 2020. Life is Strange follows the same format, with its first episode releasing in January 2015 and its final fifth episode releasing in October of the same year.
Square Enix games are also common on Games with Gold, with some examples including Hitman: Absolution in April 2014, Tomb Raider in March 2015, Just Cause 2 in June 2015, and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition in December 2016.
The reason that Life is Strange seems so likely now is because Square Enix has teased the protagonist for the upcoming Life is Strange game and more information is set to be released about the title on March 18.
It seems like the perfect time to keep hype over the new Life is Strange going by offering the original game for free. It would not only entice players to learn more about the new game but also get them to pick up the 2018 sequel Life is Strange 2 or Life is Strange: Before the Storm as well.
The Smaller Game – The Lego Movie Videogame
Xbox Games with Gold Predictions
This next choice is a safe one, as Microsoft is notorious for including Lego games on its Games with Gold lists.
The Lego Movie Videogame has yet to be offered on Games with Gold, but past Lego games on Games with Gold include:
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga in May 2017
- Lego Pirates of the Caribbean in July 2017
- Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues in June 2018
- Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars in September 2018
- Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy in January 2020
- Lego Indiana Jones in November 2020
If not specifically this title, other Lego games that seem likely which have yet to be offered on Games with Gold include the Lego Harry Potter games, Lego Lord of the Rings, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, or Lego Jurassic World.
