Super Destronaut DX
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
It’s been 40 years since Space Invaders released, and games are still reusing concepts from the monumental arcade game. Super Destronaut DX is one such game, which honestly doesn’t feel very dissimilar to its inspiration. It’s all about shooting down UFOs that drop in from above and trying to rack up a high score. What does somewhat set it apart is the inclusion of a co-op mode.
For trophy hunters, this definitely isn’t one to skip. In fact, the insanely easy trophy list was undoubtedly designed to bait trophy hunters into buying this one. The trophies come from merely scoring a certain number of points in each mode and clearing the game’s challenges. The score requirements are pretty low and it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to get the platinum. The game is cross-buy with PS Vita with a separate trophy list, so you could potentially net yourself two platinum trophies in less than an hour with Super Destronaut DX.
Forgotten Anne
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
Forgotten Anne is a story-driven puzzle/platformer game that mainly focuses on its story and characters. You have to choose your words and actions carefully as the game features a branching dialogue system that is directly influenced by the player. It’s a pretty unique and interesting game that can be picked up on the PlayStation Store for just $19.99.
For these types of games, trophies that you earn based on your decisions in the story can really ruin the player agency of the game, but that isn’t the case with Forgotten Anne. A majority of the trophies are earned from progressing through the main story, while the other trophies are earned from finding the game’s collectibles. You can easily earn the platinum on your first playthrough with the help of a collectibles guide without dampening your experience of the game’s story.
Island Time VR
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
PlayStation VR games with platinum trophies that require a long amount of time can be pretty intense on the player, but that certainly isn’t the case with Island Time —it’s the complete opposite. A session in Island Time VR will usually last around 20 minutes, which is plenty of time to nab a bunch of the game’s trophies. Your mission in Island time is to try to survive for as long as possible by cooking food, making fire, and ridding the island of seagulls. Many of the games trophies require you to do a particular thing a certain amount of times, such as ‘Die 20 times’ and ‘Eat 100 food items.’ Others require you to scare off the seagulls in a particular way. The only trophy that might present a small challenge is the Survivor trophy which requires you to survive for 20 minutes. It shouldn’t be too hard to achieve with a little practice. If it does take you a little time, at least the game is pretty fun.
Minit
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
In Minit, you only have a minute (who would’ve guessed) to complete objectives, take out enemies, and discover hidden secrets in the game world. Once your minute is up, it’s game over and you’ll have to start again. It’s a fun game that is enjoyed best in short bursts. If you’re just in it for the platinum, though, you can grab it in just a few short hours with the help of a guide.
The game has 28 trophies and is full of golds and silvers, so you can get a nice boost to your trophy level. Most of the trophies are obtained from finding all of the game’s collectibles, but the secret trophies have some more specific requirements. Go in with a guide, and you should be able to make short work of this game. You won’t be able to get the platinum in a minute, but it shouldn’t take much longer.
Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
Telltale is a company that is very kind to trophy hunters. It can sometimes feel a bit tiresome grabbing hundreds of collectibles or performing repetitive tasks just to bump your trophy level up a little, so it’s nice to be able to earn a platinum just by playing through a cool, easy-going game. Just like all of Telltale’s other games on PS4, all of Batman: The Enemy Within’s trophies can be earned simply by beating the game. Telltale’s modern point ‘n click games aren’t too hard or stressful to get through, either.
An Enemy Within is the sequel to 2016’s Batman: The Telltale Series. If you missed out on that one, you’ll want to give it a playthrough first so that you’re caught up with the story. Of course, that one has an easy platinum, too, so there’s no reason not to knock that one out first if you haven’t already.
A Way Out
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
A Way Out is a really cool co-op experience that requires two people to play. There’s no A.I. or matchmaking —a second human being is required. Thankfully, the game can be played online with just a single copy, which is really neat. It can also be fully enjoyed in couch co-op, so you could always try convincing your roommate or your mom or dad to play with you if you’re desperate to get this easy platinum.
While the platinum trophy is easy, it won’t come automatically. Many of the trophies come from interacting with objects in the environment and can easily be missed if you’re just running through the game; having a guide along for the ride is your best bet. It should be noted that only the owner of the game will earn trophies. If your partner also wants a slice of this easy platinum pie, they will also need to purchase the game so that you can both earn trophies in the same playthrough.
InnerSpace
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
In InnerSpace, your mission is to soar above the dystopian world known as the Inverse, a place full of inverted planets where gravity pulls outward. It is all about uncovering the hidden secrets of the Inverse and recovering memories of the place before they’re lost forever. It’s a very interesting concept that is paired with some pretty visuals with pleasant, vibrant colors.
InnerSpace is a short game with an easy set of trophies. After finishing the game’s main story —which will only take you a few hours— you’ll be halfway towards earning yourself a shiny, new platinum trophy. From that point, it’s all about cleaning up those last few remaining trophies. The rest are quite easy and merely involve revisiting the Inverse to gather up all of the collectibles and complete the remaining objectives.
Tacoma
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
In May 2018, Fullbright’s Tacoma finally made the transition from Xbox One to PS4, as did its easy achievement list. Unlike the studio’s previous game, Gone Home, Tacoma takes the narrative to interstellar heights, placing you in an abandoned space station to investigate what happened to the crew.
And unlike Gone Home, Tacoma has a platinum trophy. Most of them are obtained from performing specific actions or from gathering all of the game’s collectibles. It’s fairly standard stuff and will be a breeze with a guide at hand. Having a guide along for your first playthrough may present you with some spoilers, so you may want to save the trophy cleanup for your second playthrough. Regardless, the game is very short, and two playthroughs likely won’t last you over five hours.
Crisis on the Planet of the Apes VR
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
If you’re not much of a fan of the Planet of the Apes movies, you may not thoroughly enjoy this mediocre VR game, but if you are, you could get a kick out of it. Whichever camp you’re in, a quick and easy platinum is in store with Crisis on the Planet of the Apes.
Be sure to read the trophy list before hopping in and also select the hard difficulty at the start. Running through the game on hard and doing certain miscellaneous things, such as pounding your chest and roaring five times is all it will really take to get this simple platinum. Don’t be deterred by the notion of playing on hard difficulty, the game isn’t much of a challenge at all. This platinum, sorry, VR game will set you back $14.99 on the PlayStation Store.
Moss
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of 2018 So Far
It seems that trophy hunters who have yet to pick up a PlayStation VR are really missing out. Here’s another VR game with a quick and easy platinum trophy: Moss. Thankfully, it’s one of the better VR exclusives. In Moss, you take on the role of The Reader, and it is your job to guide the adventurous mouse Quill on her quest.
The easy platinum for this delightful game is just a nice bonus. Like most VR games, Moss can be completed in just a few hours, and you’ll scoop up a majority of the game’s trophies along the way. The few remaining trophies come from the game’s collectibles and interacting with Quill in specific ways. You can easily grab them all in one playthrough, but if you do miss a few, it won’t take long at all to go back and grab them.
