This alluring indie platformer stars a young woman trapped within the confines of her mind. It’s a psychological adventure that starts off bleak, as you learn more about her struggles and trauma. GRIS offers a tightly-knit journey woven through its simple control and fairly linear direction. As you progress, the girl you control will learn a new skill you can use to overcome obstacles. That said, GRIS is a fairly short game and feels a lot like a one-shot experience.
Still, it manages to leave behind a solid impression thanks to its narrative that falls to you to figure things out. Not to mention that its gorgeous watercolor art style is a brilliant way to paint more life into this Steam game.

Book of Demons is a delightful parody of the hack-and-slash genre. From its dark work to its brazen characters, the game pokes fun at some of the more common tropes found in games such as Diablo.
For the most part, Book of Demons follows the same hack-and-slash formula with its top-down action and procedurally generated dungeons. You never really know what might be waiting for you in your next run, always keeping you on your feet.
What really makes the game shine is its Flexiscope system, letting players craft their adventure time. What this system essentially does is mold your gameplay experience around how many hours you can actually pour into the game, crafting dungeons cleverly so that you can actually still complete it.
If you’re low on time, Book of Demons will still find a way to offer you satisfying bite-sized experiences. With that said, you won’t be forcing yourself to move past dungeons and skip out on paths you normally would have.
