Control

Original Price: $59.99

Sale Price: $20.99

Control is the latest title to come from the talented team of developers from Remedy and it’s hella weird in the way that its story is told and the setting of the Oldest House is very intriguing and worth diving into for hidden lore.

Playing as Jesse Faden, you can use your telekinetic powers to manipulate objects and defeat bad guys. The combat is extremely versatile and it’s just really fun to pick up things and fling them back at your adversaries.

For just $20 during the PSN Summer Sale, Control is definitely worth trying out.

Death Stranding

Original Price: $59.99

Sale Price: $35.99

After Death Stranding launched, the general consensus was that people either loved or hated this game –there didn’t seem to be a lot of people stuck in the middle and it’s easy to see why.

At its core, Death Stranding is a glorified walking simulator with a wild Hideo Kojima story tucked in between. I still don’t know if the story is actually good or not but the performances given by the actors are truly incredible, especially Troy Baker in the role of the main antagonist.

Our reviewer Zhiqing had a very good time with Death Stranding, scoring it a 4.5/5 and praising the asynchronous multiplayer aspect, the way that you navigate the world, and how fetch quests are surprisingly rewarding.

Seeing as how this one is normally priced at $60, this price drop isn’t shabby at all.

Dreams

Original Price: $39.99

Sale Price: $29.99

Dreams from Media Molecule (the team behind the ever-so-charming Little Big Planet) lets you live out your video game making… um… dreams!

You can use the game’s wide array of tools to create literally anything that pops into your head. You can make music for someone’s short film that they’re working, or you can just be a tree creator and make really good-looking trees for other players.

And if you’re like me and hate creating things in video games then you can always just go online and play some games that other people have made.

The possibilities are endless.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission

Original Price: $19.99

Sale Price: $9.99

Yes, Astro Bot Rescue Mission is a PSVR only title so you cannot play it without the headset. But if you do happen to own of those things, Astro Bot should be on the top of your must-play list.

It’s a traditional 3D platformer like Mario but thanks to the capabilities of VR, the themed stages look incredible and it really feels like you’re in the game. That’s such a cliche but it’s true!

Honestly, grabbing this game for $10 is an absolute steal.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Original Price: $19.99

Sale Price: $14.99

Tis a shame that Horizon Zero Dawn launched around the same time as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo’s open-world iteration on the Zelda franchise stole tons of attention from Horizon but now it’s getting a sequel on PS5 and the series will have many more eyes on it.

This open-world action-adventure title, along with its hefty Frozen Wilds expansion, can be purchased during the PSN Summer Sale for just $14.99 right now.

Prepare yourself for Forbidden West and see what all of the hubbub is about.
