10 of the Best Dressed Video Game Characters With Looks That Kill

Hey, good lookin'.

Twintelle – ARMS

Recommended Videos

The Internet went crazy when Nintendo unveiled Twintelle’s design back in May and it’s hard not to understand all the immediate fanfare. In addition to having some serious curves, Twintelle is simply dressed to kill. We all know her outfit is a form-fitting ensemble that shows off her figure but her fashion sense shines even more when it comes to her accessories. In addition to having a gorgeous yet functional outfit for fighting (she’s fully covered and not in some sort of skirt or dress) she is also sporting some incredible earrings and a chic chunky gold bracelet. Her hair looks awesome while also being able to knock people out and let’s not forget her shoes. Yes, her glorious shoes.

Twintelle is probably one of the most fashionable video game characters we’ve seen in quite some time and this is all underscored by the fact that this character only fights in outfits created by her very own fashion line.

Pagan Min – Far Cry 4

Pagan Min is an evil man. He’s a very, very evil man. He’s a man that finds an odd sense of joy and amusement from violence and his apathetic attitude towards everything helps players understand this antagonist is a very cold one. Yet there’s just something about that suit that makes you want to forgive all his evil deeds. Seriously, you have to applaud Pagan for ruling the Kyrat region with a bloody, iron first while also being dressed in a well tailored pink suit and a patterned button-up shirt that complements the whole thing wonderfully. Sure he’s a crazed killer but between that sharp ensemble and that effortless platinum blonde side swept hair, it’s hard not to just gawk and admire for a little bit. You’ll just have to ignore all those blood stains.

Lightning – Final Fantasy XIII

So when it comes to character design, the Final Fantasy franchise has an amazing looking cast. Lulu sports a fur-trimmed black gown that descends into a useless yet cool looking collection of belts. Tifa’s outfit is simple but a solid classic that serves up sexiness and coolness in one effortless attempt. And Rydia? Between her green hair, thigh high boots that actually connect to her waist band and the way her garment drapes around her, she was almost given this spot on the list. Almost. Because it’s hard to deny that Lightning is the true fashion queen of Final Fantasy.

Lightning’s look in Final Fantasy XIII is edgy and feminine. Her light pink hair looks like something that would be on every girl’s Pinterest board and she’s one of the few characters that uses this many straps and belts for an outfit without it looking a little cheesy or distracting. She just looks cool and really pretty all at the same time. This, of course, isn’t the greatest reason why she’s the reigning queen of Final Fantasy fashion. When Lightning isn’t obliterating her enemies with her gunblade she’s busy being a fashion model for Louis Vuitton. Lightning was used as a real model for a Louis Vuitton ad campaign last year and she even did an interview with The Telegraph to talk about her new venture into high end fashion.

Ludger Will Kresnik – Tales of Xillia 2

It’s hard to try to save the world while still being an impeccably dressed man but Ludger Will Kresnik certainly makes it look easy. Ludger looks extremely dapper while also wielding a variety of weapons to help him on his dangerous journey. It’s one thing to simply sport a nice dress shirt and slacks but when Ludger even manages to make suspenders look sexy, he really proved his sense of style is worthy of praise.

Sure, his ability to skillfully wield a variety of weapons is impressive and he looks incredibly cool when using his chromatus abilities, but all these things quiver in the shadows when compared to how well dressed Ludger is on a daily basis. From the well-tailored outfit to the edgy black patch in his hair, Ludger Will Kresnik seriously looks like he belongs on a cover of GQ.

Bayonetta – Bayonetta

Platinum Games, Bayonetta 2, Wii U

Nobody pulls off the deadly dominatrix look quite like Bayonetta can. This lethal witch takes many popular fashion trends to new heights while also pulling off some downright crazy fashion choices that only work for her because, well, she’s Bayonetta. Who’s going to question her ensemble and live to tell about it?

Bayonetta took the bodysuit trend and raised the bar by donning a full leather bodysuit with revealing cutouts. As if that wasn’t enough, she seriously has taken the fringe trend to a place we have never seen it go before. It doesn’t get anymore fringe-tastic than Bayonetta’s classic ensemble. As if that all wasn’t enough to make her one of the most fashionable video game characters of all time, just remember that she’s always sporting chic and deadly hairstyles along with stylish simplistic glasses that serve as a nice cherry on top of a great outfit. Oh… did we mention the gun shoes? Yeah. Gun shoes. If that’s not high fashion I’m just not really sure what is.

Agent 47 – Hitman

We’ve already discussed some well-tailored men on this list but when it comes to kicking butt in the most perfectly fitting suit in all the land, Agent 47 still reigns supreme. Anyone who has even the slightest knowledge of menswear can look at the star of Hitman and rest assured that every hem is hitting at all the right places. What makes Agent 47 even more impressive in the world of fashion is that despite spending the vast majority of his time fulfilling lethal contracts, his dapper attire is rarely out of place. He’s clean. He’s sharp. He’s dangerous. We love it.

Nathan Drake – Uncharted

There is something wonderful about simplicity in the world of fashion and Nathan Drake gets that. He may not be dressed in suits and suspenders like some of the other impeccably dressed men on this list but that doesn’t mean he isn’t just as stylish. While the rest of the men on this list are ready for GQ covers, Nathan is far more into the Old Navy spokesperson look and, quite frankly, that’s fine with us. A well-fitted shirt and a nice pair of cargos makes for one handsome looking adventurer and sometimes that’s really all you need. And let’s not forget the time Nathan stepped it up a notch by casually tossing a scarf into the mix as well.

Dante – Devil May Cry 4

Let’s cut right to the chase on this one. Dante’s fashion sense may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The sort of goth meets old school Western style is quirky but something just makes the entire presentation work so well. That coat. Even if, for some reason, you simply aren’t into large belt buckles and crotchless cowboy chaps, that coat alone makes up for it all. It underscores Dante’s effortlessly cool demeanor and it’s always there to provide just enough extra movement to make everything Dante does look even cooler than it already was. In fact, if Capcom wants to make a Devil May Cry spinoff that is focused purely on Dante’s jacket, I wouldn’t be offended in the slightest.

Kat – Gravity Rush

If there is any single garment of clothing that has already taken the internet by storm this year it’s got to be rompers. Rompers have become such a movement that designers are even eager to get men slipping into the adult onesies. We won’t dive too deep into that concept but there is one video game heroine who could very well be the owner of the most stylish romper we’ve ever seen. Kat’s famous romper has intricate details and unusual accessories that just make her look like a ton of fun without looking child-like. And while rompers are great, there’s nothing better than a video game heroine who appreciates a good outfit change. Kat dons a variety of other outfits throughout the game that are also extremely stylish for the most part. Of course, this is excluding her work uniforms. Other than that, however, Kat seems to have a great fashion sense. Just look at that catsuit outfit if you don’t believe me.

Nothing like a cat-themed bodysuit with killer cut-outs.

All of the Squidlings – Splatoon

The gaming world has brought us the likes of dapper men and edgy women but when it comes to unlocking the true potential of street fashion, you have to give it up to Nintendo. The Splatoon series highlights a fun, vibrant side to streetwear and proves that being the best dressed doesn’t always mean you clean up well. These messy squidlings have incredible style that is functional, looks comfortable, and sells coolness by the bundle. The collection of sneakers spotted throughout the Splatoon series is enough to win people over but when you start throwing in funky hoodies, cool prints, casual button ups, and fun graphic tees? How can you not fall in love with these squid kids?
