PS Plus Free Games Predictions for August 2019
The Bigger Game – BioShock: The Collection
Every month, subscribers to Sony’s online platform for its console are gifted with a couple free PS4 games as an added bonus through PS Plus. Last month, those games included Horizon Chase Turbo and at the last second Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 was replaced by Detroit: Become Human Deluxe Edition (which also includes Heavy Rain) on July 2.
While the new games for the upcoming month of August 2019 have yet to be revealed, we have some speculations as to what free games might be included.
Usually one larger game headlines the list, and we believe BioShock: The Collection has a very decent shot at coming to players for free.
BioShock: The Collection includes all single-player content remastered in 1080p from BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite, along with all the single-player add-on content from the Columbia’s Finest pack and some additional Director’s Commentary from developers Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson.
This collection is a whopping 75% off at the time of writing, dropping from $80 to just $20. It’s often been on sale since its release in September 2016.
Sony is quite used to releasing collections on PS Plus in the past, including the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection in September 2013, the Amnesia: Collection in October 2017, and most recently Borderlands: The Handsome Collection a couple months ago in June.
Not to mention that two-thirds of this collection, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, have also been released on PS Plus in the past in December 2012 and January 2014 respectively.

The Smaller Game – Stardew Valley
Usually a smaller indie-type game makes the list for PS Plus every month as well, and for August 2019 we predict Stardew Valley from game developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone and publisher Chucklefish.
Stardew Valley is one of those indies that comes along out of nowhere and becomes hugely popular overnight. It’s now available on essentially every platform there is, and has been on PS4 since December 2016. It’s honestly surprising Stardew Valley has yet to be included on PS Plus, as it would be so well received and has been on the PS4 for a decent amount of time to be considered for free.
Not to mention it is also on sale at the time of writing, at 20% off costing only $16.
Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in the next week or so to see which games will make it on PS Plus for August 2019 with the official announcement from Sony.
