Season 9 has come and gone, so it’s time to read up on all the changes coming to Apex Legends Season 10. Emergence is adding more map changes, a new gun, a new ranked mode, and of course, a new Legend. Here’s everything you need to know.
New Legend: Seer
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
Obi Edolasim is the new Legend this season, and he’s known as Seer in the Apex Games and Arenas. In fact, Arenas is where he got his start while building his fanbase. He joins the roster as he makes the transition to the Games.
His abilities allow him to keep track of enemies as a scout-type character. Seer’s Passive Ability, Heart Seeker, gives him access to a heartbeat sensor whenever he aims down sights on a gun. His Tactical, Focus of Attention, sends out micro-drones that use a delayed pulse to locate enemies and interrupt their actions (like healing or reviving) through walls.
Lastly, his Ultimate, Exhibit, casts a net-like dome over a specific area. It’ll track enemies within the area whenever they run or fire their weapons, so Seer can provide useful info for his team in a variety of ways.
World’s Edge Map Changes
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
Hammond Robotics is back at it again in Apex Legends Season 10. Aggressive mining by the Harvester has lead to catastrophic results for the planet’s surface, which means that new POIs have popped up.
Refinery has been replaced by a much larger POI called Climatizer in the north section of the map. Also, the planet has fractured, causing the World’s Edge fissure to extend from Climatizer to Fragment East, but this one can be crossed on foot without the updrafts.
Lava Siphon is replacing the classic Sorting Factory area that has been around since day one of the map. A sinkhole has dramatically changed the location, and the addition of gondolas to cross the new gaps will make for some unpredictable firefights.
Another day one replacement is Train Yard, which is getting swapped out for Landslide. Landslide is a more open POI, which should reduce the number of third-party and fourth-party fights in the area.
Ranked Arenas Mode
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
Arenas is a 3v3 mode that was introduced to Apex Legends in Season 9, and now it’s getting a ranked mode. Ranked Arenas is similar to ranked battle royale, but it has a few notable differences.
Ranked Arenas has 10 placement matches that need to be completed to determine your initial Matchmaking Rating. Arenas Points are used to rank up and determine your matchmaking field, and they can only be earned through wins — unlike how the battle royale mode rewards points for other factors.
Another big difference is that there’s no demotion protection, so players can rank down from Silver to Bronze, for example. There’s also no split, so your rank won’t reset until next season. Additionally, maps in Ranked Arenas will change hourly, instead of every 15 minutes.
New Weapon: Rampage LMG
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
Season 9 brought the Bocek Bow, and Season 10 is introducing the Rampage LMG. Thanks to Rampart, this heavy ammo gun has been added to the regular loot pool.
The Rampage is perfect for mid-range encounters, but its slow fire rate is tough to use at close range. However, it does have a trick up its sleeve. Players can spend a Thermite grenade to charge the weapon, just like the Sentinel does with Shield Cells.
A charged Rampage overclocks the fire rate, making it shoot faster and giving it the ability to shoot down doors. The charge lasts for a little over one magazine, or a full magazine if a purple mag is on the gun.
Quality of Life Updates
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
These quality-of-life updates make a few small areas of the game much more convenient in ways that you may not have thought of.
For example, the addition of a “Hold On” ping response may seem like a minor update, but if you’ve ever played any match with random players, you know just how useful this really is.
Respawn also made it so that the Heirloom shop shows every single thing that comes with an Heirloom when it gets purchased, including new voice lines, poses, and more. Multiple options have also been added to Private Matches as well, such as more Arenas map options and custom ending variants to map modes and map selection.
New Battle Pass
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
With every new season comes a new Battle Pass, and Emergence is bringing a bunch of new emotes, skins, charms, banners, and more. The Battle Pass featured skins belong to Valkyrie and Horizon this time around.
950 Apex Coins will net you the standard pass, which comes with skins for Gibraltar, Seer, and Wattson, as well as a gold-plated 30-30 Repeater.
For 2,800 Apex Coins, you’ll jump to level 25 from the start. You’ll also receive Valkyrie’s Aerial Evolution Legendary skin and a Legendary Volt skin at the very end of the pass.
Weapon Adjustments
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
A new Hop Up is being added to the game. The Boosted Loader quickens reload speed when a magazine is almost empty and puts those extra rounds in the next mag. It can be attached to the Hemlok and the Wingman. And to make room for it, the Anvil Receiver and Quickdraw Holster are being removed for now.
Another adjustment to attachments moves the reload speed buff from magazine attachments onto stock attachments. This means that stocks will increase reload speed, and mags will only affect the number of rounds a gun holds.
This season, the Alternator and Spitfire are going into the supply drop and the Prowler is finally returning to ground loot after spending a few seasons as a drop. The supply drop Alternator will come with a weakened version of the Disruptor, which does extra damage to shields.
Also, these are the gold weapon rotations for Emergence:
- Added: Peacekeeper, Rampage, RE-45, Flatline, and Charge Rifle
- Removed: Wingman, Bocek, R99, Hemlock, and Sentinel

Legend Balances
Everything New in Apex Legends Season 10
Not many Legends got tweaked this time around, but the most notable changes come in the form of buffs and slight nerfs for Fuse, Horizon, Revenant, and Caustic.
Fuse got heavily buffed this time around. Enemies caught in his fiery Ultimate are now visible to his team. His Knuckle Cluster duration is doubled, and his Passive can be toggled on and off when throwing grenades.
Horizon’s gravity lift allows her to rise slightly faster — but not as fast as it initially did pre-nerf. Her Black Hole also has less of a slowing effect. Revenant’s Death Totem effect now has a visual and audio cue that everyone can see/hear when it’s about to end, and when it does, players are slowed when back at the totem.
Caustic’s Tactical and Ultimate both have their cooldowns reduced by five seconds, and his gas starts out at five damage, but increases by one every other tick indefinitely.
For a few more specific adjustments, you can check out the full patch notes.
That’s everything you need to know about what’s new in Apex Legends Season 10, Emergence. Be sure to keep all of these changes in mind as you move on into this new season.
