Top 4 Best Anime of March 2018 You Should Watch

If you’re in the mood for action-packed sci-fi dramas in the vein of Aldnoah.Zero or Code Geass this month, you’re in luck. A.I.C.O.: Incarnation (I dare you to say that five times fast) is set in Japan in the near future when an incident known as “Birth” wreaks havoc on the world after a science experiment goes wrong. Humanity manages to quarantine the monster it gave birth to, though not without sacrificing a tremendous amount of people in the process.

Two years after the tragedy, a girl orphaned by the incident named Aiko Tachibana is told by a mysterious transfer student that she has a great secret hidden inside her body. In order to fully understand this secret and harness the potential it offers, Aiko and her strange new friend must journey to the center of where the disaster began. Seeing as how the government now keeps a close eye on everything that goes into and out of the quarantine, it won’t be easy, but it will most assuredly make for quite the thrilling experience to watch for anime fans. A.I.C.O.: Incarnation debuts March 9 exclusively on Netflix.

Lost Song

If you’re looking for an anime this month that takes pleasure in exploring the journey of life itself, look no further. Lost Song actually tells the tale of two different human beings who, as if by fate, somehow wind up crossing paths as their adventures unfold. Rin is an energetic young girl who lives in the countryside and loves to eat. By contrast, Finis lives in solitude within a royal palace tucked away within the country’s capital city.

Each girl has a gift that brings them together: the ability to sing breathtaking songs that stir the wind, create water, and even heal wounds. As a bloody war looms on the horizon, both Rin and Finis feel empowered to use their abilities to put an end to the conflict before it even begins, thus bringing them together on an emotional, spiritual level. Lost Song premieres exclusively on Netflix on March 31.

Sword Gai: The Animation

Sword Gai: The Animation is another anime premiering this month that will no doubt satiate your thirst for fires and neat explosions. After being found as a newborn baby deep in the forest, protagonist Gai grows up to become the apprentice of a sword smith. Things don’t quite end up happily ever after once Gai is brought into this life, as the young man looses his arm in an accident. Luckily, the boy’s master takes an old sword called Shiryuu and uses it to make a new arm for Gai.

Little do both individuals know, Shiryuu is actually an ancient sword harnessing demonic powers that has been passed down for generations. Now one with the darkness, Gai must commit to the responsibilities of using his newfound powers to his advantage to rid himself of whatever demons may come his way. Get ready for a lot of fight scenes with this one. Sword Gai: The Animation premieres March 23 on Netflix.

B: The Beginning

Top 4 Best Anime of March 2018 You Should Watch

B: The Beginning revolves around the Royal Investigation Service as it pursues an elusive serial killer known as Killer B who’s terrorizing the nation of Cremona. A Sherlock Holmes character named Keith, a trusty sidekick named Lily, and a mysterious black-winged boy named Koku must all work together to try and put this murderer where he or she belongs before it’s too late.

This show is rife with twists and turns that will keep you guessing as to what may lie just around the corner, though its best quality lies in how well the characters play off each other. Keith is downcast and serious most of the time, while Lily is much more upbeat and accepting. Oftentimes their opinion on the case clash, making for some juicy drama in between all that detective intrigue. B: The Beginning premiered March 2 and is available to watch right now on Netflix.
