With E3 around the corner and the infamous summer drought looming over the heads of gamers everywhere, June 2017 is looking surprisingly full of content for all platforms. The PS4 is sharing in the unified wealth with game releases ranging from big to small with several different genres to choose from over the coming weeks. The first couple of weeks mix it up with fighting, adventure, RPGs, and some different flavors of racing for some exciting titles.

Leading the charge for June is Tekken 7, the latest entry in the celebrated fighting series from Bandai Namco. Street Fighter fans will have a reason to enter the fray as well, thanks to the inclusion of Akuma who has a unique take that allows him to work quite well in the new fighter. MMO fans may want to check out The Elder Scrolls Online’s Morrowind expansion which adds a new area, new abilities and classes, new threats, and more. For fans of racers, you have two options. You can go sort of realistic with Dirt 4 and some rally racing, or you can relive some great PS1 memories with the Wipeout Omega Collection.

Here are the PS4 releases for the first couple of weeks of June:

  • June 2 – Tekken 7
  • June 6 – Guardians of the Galaxy: Episode 2 – Under Pressure
  • June 6 – The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
  • June 6 – Dark Rose Valkyrie
  • June 6 – Perception
  • June 6 – Wipeout Omega Collection
  • June 6 – Dirt 4

There’s a slight lull in the middle of the month thanks to a little something called E3. But once that’s done, Sony’s console gets two RPG expansions for players looking for some time sinks. The biggest one is most certainly Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood. Not only will players have an entirely new location to explore full of new threats and wonders to discover, but new classes such as the Red Mage and Samurai enter the action, as well as some much-needed changes to the game’s various systems.

Check out what releases right after E3:

  • June 19 – Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court
  • June 20 – Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood
  • June 23 – Get Even

June 2017 PS4 Video Game Releases

(6/25 – 6/30)

The month may start off light, but it finishes very strong. There are some indie games, a bit of terrifying horror, a new RPG, and a healthy dose of nostalgia waiting for PS4 owners as June draws to a close. Releasing on the very last day of the month is a remaster that fans have been chomping at the bit for over the last few years and was officially unveiled at E3 2016.

Crash Bandicoot had disappeared for a long time, with Activision keeping the orange hero, who was once a major Sony mascot, in a vault somewhere deep underground (by that we mean saved in storage on a computer somewhere in their offices), but the N. Sane Trilogy will bring complete remasters of the first three games to the PS4.

Check out what the end of the month has in store for you and your console:

  • June 27 – Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
  • June 27 – Dead by Daylight
  • June 27 – Elite Dangerous Legendary Edition
  • June 27 – The Golf Club
  • June 27 – Valkyria Revolution
  • June 30 – Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
