Here’s a winner winner for PS5 owners. Maquette releases today, offering up its weird recursive puzzle-based gameplay to the masses. What’s more, it’s also the free PS5 PlayStation Plus game for March, meaning it won’t cost you a penny.

Maquette tasks you with solving a series of puzzles where you’ll be dealing with plants, buildings and objects that are both absolutely massive, and teeny tiny at the same time.

What you need to do is manipulate the smaller objects in order to move the larger ones and clear your path to the objective. The further out you make it, the larger and more complex things get.

It’s all tied together with a heartfelt story and a vibrant art style. Maquette is certainly one of the most unique puzzlers you can get your hands on in the month of March, and you PS5 owners have no excuse for not giving this one a try.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time may have marked the official return of everyone’s favorite jorts wearing ‘coot last year, but it never received the proper portable or next-gen treatments… until now.

On March 12, Crash 4 will make its way to both PS5 and Xbox Series X, offering up the visually stunning worlds of Crash 4 in native 4K 60FPS with enhanced 3D audio. You’ll be spending less time waiting and more time perfecting your platforming thanks to far shorter load times, too.

Additionally, the DualSense’s adaptive triggers will be put to work on PS5, if you’ve been enjoying that resistance feel the new tech can offer up in various scenarios in games.

If you’ve held off on Crash 4 until now, then now’s the perfect time to see how far the bandicoot has come after all these years. For those who already played the game on its initial release, you can upgrade to the next-gen versions for free!

It’s not just the shiny new hardware from Sony and Microsoft that’ll get the marsupial’s adventure to save the multiverse from Cortex and N. Tropy. The game will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch on the same date, offering slightly less refined visuals in favor of portable platforming perfection.

It Takes Two is the latest co-op-focused title from Josef Farez’s studio, Hazelight. As Cody and May, players will work together to navigate a world teeming with various puzzles and obstacles you’ll need to overcome and solve.

The game’s not just a selection of mini-games, though. It Takes Two blends its co-op based gameplay with a light-hearted story that’s all about learning to get along with your partner.

Coming after a year that tested many relationships, and isolated others from their friends, families and loved ones, It Takes Two looks set to be the perfect game to play with your partner in crime.

Plus, only one of you needs to pick up the game, with the ‘Friend Pass’ allowing you friend to play the entire game for free in co-op with you.

Monster Hunter Rise – March 26 (Switch)

Monster Hunter Rise

If strange cat creatures offer you colorful kebabs, you take ’em. That’s always been my philosophy in life, and now, given there are multiple cats holding colorful kebabs, looks like I’ll be checking out Monster Hunter Rise on Switch, too.

Colorful kebab-wielding cats aside, Monster Hunter Rise is the latest instalment in the popular monster hunting RPG series. Players will get to make use of the new Wyvern Riding ability to traverse the world, or use the Wirebug to get about faster when on-foot. You’ll even have Palicoes and Palamutes by your side to support you through every long and arduous battle.

Fancy taking your next target on with a friend, then group up with the co-op multiplayer, or go solo and really test out your skills.

Of course, the compelling part of the grind comes from unlocking better armor and gear by crafting them out of the parts of the monsters you slayed. Following the remarkable success of Monster Hunter: World in 2018, we’ve got high hopes for Monster Hunter Rise bringing that same compelling gameplay loop to Switch on March 26.
