Until Dawn

Recommended Videos

Until Dawn is the first big narrative-driven horror title from Supermassive Games and if you’re looking for an experience similar to Man of Medan, you can’t go wrong with this one.

It’s a super campy story with cliched characters that are stuck on an isolated mountain lodge in the middle of a brutal snowstorm with strange creatures to deal with and mysterious secrets.

Until Dawn has a ton of different paths and dialogue choices that make the game worth replaying over and over again.

Detroit: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human is the latest action-adventure game from Quantic Dream that deals with the future, humanity, and androids’ place in society in the year 2038.

You get to play as three different androids who are on all on different paths with several branching narrative points. There’s even a nice and organized flow chart that changes based on your decisions and actions.

There are some really cool story moments and action scenes that are worth checking out if you’re looking for a pretty great cinematic experience that feels like you’re watching a film.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead

This gripping and emotional tale based off of the popular comics and television series, Telltale’s The Walking Dead makes every choice you make matter from season to season.

And since the series came to a close earlier this year, now is the time to jump in and experience Clementine’s story.

Filled with Walkers (zombies), terrible events, messed up characters, and truly depressing moments, Telltale’s take on the zombie series is definitely one for the books and is one of the best choose-your-own-adventure games out there.

Life is Strange

The original Life is Strange, and its sequel LiS2, tackles controversial issues like teen suicide, bullying, racism, religion, drugs, and allows you to make choices that alter the entire narrative.

They both tell stories of troubled teenage youths and excel at creating dramatic and enthralling narratives that will definitely make you feel like the choices actually matter.

Coupled with some amazing licensed indie tracks, pretty good voice work, and multiple endings, Life is Strange shouldn’t be missed by fans of Man of Medan.
