HoYoVerse’s Latest release had a success launch of Honkai: Star Rail as it gained massive popularity amongst OG Honkai Fans. However, after playing the game for a while. It kind of feels like a correction of Genshin Impact’s past mistakes. Here are 10 things Honkai: Star Rail does better than Genshin Impact.
Being Able to Craft Anywhere
The frustration of being unable to craft items anywhere conveniently is a problem. So, bid farewell to Genshin Impact’s 40-second travel time plus 30-second loading screen just to access a crafting bench.
Star Rail solves this issue instantly. Need to craft? No problem! Just hop into the main menu and open your Synthesizer. No matter where you are on the map, you can easily craft consumables everywhere. Revel in the joy of convenience as you craft to your heart’s content at a press of a button. The only requirement is for you to have the necessary materials to synthesize an object.
No More Crystal Cores
Want to condense your Trailblaze Power for later consumption? No problem! Star Rail bestowed us with the extraordinary power to condense energy at will. No need for crystal cores or chasing after pesky crystal flies like a deranged bug catcher!
Collecting the god-awful crystal cores just to condense your resins in Genshin Impact is a hassle due to the fact that hunting crystal flies feels like a chore. Those elusive little creatures have the grace of a drunken butterfly. Meanwhile, in HSR, as long as you have 40 energy, you can use it later in the Simulated Universe and redeem some artifacts.
Higher and Faster Energy/Resin Recharge
This very article is a byproduct of being resin-less in Genshin Impact. But fear not, my fellow resin-hungry travelers, for Honkai: Star Rail has implemented a higher and faster energy recharge.
Trailblaze Power is the resin equivalent in HSR and has a higher energy count than Genshin. But have you ever noticed that Star Rail has a faster energy recharge? Original resin recharges at one unit per eight minutes compared to HSR’s higher Trailblaze Power count, regenerating one Power every six minutes. You’re basically back to grind after 18 hours which is two hours faster than Genshin Impact.
Auto Battles
Unlike Genshin Impact, HSR comes with auto-battle. With this feature, you can sit back, relax, and watch your favorite characters battle all-out as they unleash a can of whoop-ass on your enemies. At the same time, you get to sip on your favorite gamer beverage, of course.
Auto-battle is a self-explanatory feature where you watch your battles unfold on their own. Just make sure your characters are strong enough to be left alone. While doing so, you can contemplate the mysteries of the universe, like why on earth you decided to spend your money whaling for your favorite character. Maybe perhaps play Genshin in the background.
No Quest Overlapping
When we reached Sumeru in Genshin Impact, you probably noticed that most of the characters needed for the Archon quest were busy with their respective Character quests. Now, you’re forced to finish the side quest in order to finish the main storyline. This scenario usually makes the main storyline longer to finish.
This feature lets the player redirect a required character to go into a specific quest in order for you to finish it. This feature has been requested for a very long time now, and HSR makes life so much easier as a result of it.
You Can Select a 5-star Character on Your 300th Pull
Are you AR60 in Genshin Impact and still Diluc-less? Honkai: Star Rail gave Genshin a slap in the face by adding a feature where you can get a free 5-star character by reaching the wish threshold. With 300 pulls, you can get whoever character available in the standard banner.
Meanwhile, over in Genshin Impact, fans have been pleading and begging for the chance to select their dream 5-star character after an a certain number of pulls knowing HoYoVerse won’t listen to them.
Being Able to Buy a 5-star Weapon Using the Pull Currency
If you’ve been a Genshin player since release, we’re confident you have a pool of unused pull currency just stuck there in your shop waiting to be spent on your monthly 10 pulls. Lucky for us Star Rail players, We can spend it on a five-star weapon just waiting for us in the shop. Also did we mention that the weapons are refillable every month? Meaning we can get as many 5-star refinements as we want.
The contrast between the two games is that the cosmic bazaar awaits in Star Rail, offering you the chance to snag a 5-star weapon with your hard-earned pull currency. Meanwhile, in Genshin Impact, we’re left scratching our heads and wondering if the universe is playing a cosmic prank on our gacha souls.
No Paimon But We Got Pompom
Between Pompom and Paimon, the former is hands down the better mascot. Firstly, Instead of using our own mora to feed a flying freeloader, we get an adorable conductor who provides the nutrients for us in our travels. Secondly, Pompom actually cares about the main character.
Lastly, Pompom’s charm in general makes him cuddly and huggable while Paimon was a delightful creature that has been affectionately dubbed “emergency food” by the community. The one dish that should never be consumed.
Expedition Dispatch Again Button
We like convenience in our video games, and Star Rail’s Dispatch Again button is proof of that. After a set amount of time, your deployed characters will return from their expeditions with resources and currency, and being able to just immediately dispatch them again without having to reform your teams is such a huge time-saver.
Again, it’s frustrating that Genshin Impact still doesn’t have this simple feature, but I guess that’s just another reason to jump on the Star Rail bandwagon.
Self Modeling Resin
Let’s revel in the disparity between Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail when it comes to artifact hunting. Genshin Impact challenges our patience and tests our determination, while Honkai: Star Rail offers a solution.
Us Genshin Impact players cannot stress this enough for a fact that many of us grind our resins for months just to get that one singular perfect artifact for our favorite character. Finally! The answer to our problems. Suppose you manage to fail every single gacha for your artifact farming, You can just salvage 200 of your artifact dupes to get the roll you want.
