BioShock Infinite (PC)
BioShock Infinite was one of the last great games of the Xbox 360/PS3 generation, and it remains a blast to play even today due to its enRapturing steampunk setting (pun intended), its compelling narrative, and its Twilight Zone-esque ending.
If you don’t take our word for it, Metacritic considers this final game in the BioShock trilogy a “must-play” as well, where it currently ranks at a stellar 94 for the PC version.
Pick up BioShock Infinite in the CDKeys store for only $4.69 right now, and if you like what you play, you can grab the Season Pass there for around 7 bucks as well.
Undertale (PC)
Toby Fox’s one-man masterpiece is not on sale currently, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t rush to check it out if you haven’t yet given it a try.
As far as must-play games go, Undertale provides something different than you might usually expect. There aren’t hyper-realistic visuals, and there isn’t a massive open-world or even a battle royale mode.
What this retro-style RPG does provide, and what makes it worthy of an exemplary review score in our book, is a charming, funny, and fulfilling experience that will render you “filled you with determination”. You can also date a skeleton.
Undertale is available in the Steam Store for $9.99 right now.
Skyrim: Legendary Edition (PC)
If you’re a PC gamer and you somehow don’t own a copy of Skyrim yet this is the edition you want, and $9.39 is a hard price to beat for the base game and all 3 main DLC packs.
Unlike the Special Edition, released in 2016, the Legendary Edition (2013) doesn’t come with built-in graphical upgrades.
However, these “factory” enhancements weren’t very impressive back in 2016, and they’re nowhere close to the improvement you can get from a few simple mods these days– which is the whole point of owning Skyrim on the PC after all!
If you’re looking for a headstart on your modding adventure, be sure to search Twinfinite, specifically our month-by-month mod roundups for Skyrim.
Gears of War 4 (Xbox One)
The mantle of development was passed from Epic Games to The Coalition for Gears of War 4, and boy did they get the job done right. We absolutely loved Gears 4 when it released in 2016, and for $3.89, this is a great opportunity to gear up for the forthcoming 5th entry in the series.

Dragon Age: Inquisition (Xbox One)
Longing for the Bioware of old and aren’t prepared to venture into the pre-2010 “classics”? Then a pre-owned copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition for $9.99 at GameStop might be just what you’re looking for.
This third game in the Dragon Age series won Game of the Year at the very first Game Awards back in 2014, and it’ll provide hours of entertainment as you wait for around 3 years until the next Dragon Age game comes out (as long as Anthem hasn’t put you off of Bioware completely).
Uncharted 4 (PS4)
Naughty Dog delivered, as they usually do, with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Winner of The Game Award for Best Narrative, Best Game from BAFTA, and a perfect score from us (among others), the conclusion to Nathan Drake’s story offers a dramatic and satisfying final adventure.
Pulled back in for one final job, Uncharted 4 delivers what PlayStation calls his “greatest adventure”; one that tests Drake’s “physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”
You can grab the end to this thief’s adventure for $9.99 from GameStop right now.
Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One)
If you’re liking Apex Legends, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy Titanfall 2.
This mech-piloting first-person shooter series inspired some of the unique weapons, the grappling hook ability, and the fast-paced and twitchy movement speed of Apex. In addition, Gamespot claims that even some of the upcoming Borderlands 3’s arsenal was influenced by Titanfall 2.
Despite overall favorable reviews, including the “Great” Twinfinite gave it in 2016, Titanfall 2 never caught on to the degree that Apex Legends has. However, Respawn’s popular battle royale has revitalized the Titanfall 2 servers as of late, so multiplayer action, the heart of the game, is still alive and kicking.
Get your $9.99 copy of Titanfall 2 for PS4 and Xbox One from Gamestop.
Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One)
We really liked Fallout 4 when it first launched in 2015, and we appreciate it even more after the most recent offering in the franchise…
The RPG elements in Fallout 4 are much more limited and streamlined than previous Fallout games, but the post-apocalyptic Boston Commonwealth feels alive, and the story (while not terribly original) is compelling.
$9.99 can get you a pre-owned copy of Fallout 4 for PS4 and Xbox One at Gamestop.
Life Is Strange: Episode 1 (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
The first time I played the first episode of Life is Strange I turned it off after about 10 minutes (at most). “I don’t want to play a game about navigating high school as a magical hipster”, I closemindedly thought to myself. “I already did that once and it sucked. Except for the “magic” part.”
A couple of months later I picked the game up again and that was one of the best gaming-related decisions I’ve ever made.
Life Is Strange, and its prequel Before the Storm are about so much more than their setting– although it does provide the perfect jumping off point for the myriad of complex issues, emotions, and choices you’ll be faced with throughout this heartstring-plucking game.
The first episode is completely free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so I invite you to give it a try like I did years ago if you haven’t already. The rest of the season, while not under $10 at the moment, has fallen well below that price point in the past.
Limbo (Nintendo Switch)
Limbo first released in the Xbox Live Arcade in 2010, and like many ports to Nintendo’s console, it’s even better on the Switch.
Recently added in 2017, this moody, atmospheric, and enjoyably oppressive puzzle-platformer feels great on Nintendo’s adept handheld.
If you have a few more bucks lying around, you may want to splurge and pick up Playdead’s impressive offering “Inside” as well. We loved both games, and they’re truly at their best on the Switch.
