The Overwatch League’s Shanghai Dragons announced four new signings to the team today, including 19-year-old Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon.
Geguri will be the first female player signed in the Overwatch League, which confirms earlier reports. She is best known as a Zarya main, earning her the nicknames “World’s Best Zarya” and “God Zarya,” though she can also play D.Va and Roadhog.
The other three teammates joining her are 19-year-old Chon “Ado” Gi-Hyeon, an offensive main; 18-year-old He “Sky” Junjian, an Ana and Zenyatta main; and 20-year-old Lee “Fearless” Eui-Seok who mains Winston, Reinhardt, and Roadhog.
In a press release, the team is looking forward to “tackling the core problems of the team” with the new members. The team is currently working to secure visas for all four players, and will provide “language assistance, professional education, and logistical support.”
The Dragons had the worst standings of any of the 12 teams after Stage 1 ended last week, going 0-10. Overwatch League teams can now trade and sign new players, as long as they are 18 years old and eligible for a U.S. visa, until Stage 2 of the first season begins on Feb. 21. That is the same date when the four new signings can officially start playing.
