The IR Beacon is important to completing missions in Warzone’s DMZ mode, especially some new ones following June 14’s Season 4 update. Here’s how to find the IR Beacon on Ashika Island in Warzone’s DMZ mode.
The IR Beacon is important in completing Season 4 missions – no more so than the Look Out mission for the White Lotus Faction. The mission requires players to retrieve the Beacon “left on the rocks off the northern coast of Ashika Island”, before planting it on the roof of Ashika Castle.
On the surface, it’s very simple to complete. In practice it’s more difficult because, beyond the prompt of it being north of Ashika Island, there’s no specific whereabouts given. Luckily, we can help.
IR Beacon Location in Ashika Island DMZ
The IR Beacon is located atop of a rocky outcrop north of Ashika Island, in E1. We’ve zoomed in on the map to show you in the image below.
Players need to take a boat of some kind and head north. They’ll soon come across a rocky outcrop, as pictured below. There’s normally another boat of some description just south of the rocks you need, so look out for this. It certainly made finding it easier when we did it.
All you need to do from here is disembark and mantle up onto the rocks. We actually still found the IR Beacon difficult to locate; it’s a small red tube that sits atop one of the protruding rocks. Just have a good and thorough investigation all over the rocks and you should soon find it. The image below shows you exactly what you’re searching for!
If you’re doing the Look Out mission, you need only take it inland and plant it on the roof of Ashika Island’s Castle. We doubt we need to locate this for you – but be careful as it’s typically a heavily guarded section of the map.
That’s everything to say about finding the IR Beacon on Ashika Island in Warzone DMZ Mode. For everything else Season 4, from the full patch notes to the new best vest in DMZ, stay with us right here at Twinfinite.
