Destiny 2 is getting spooky with the return of the annual Festival of the Lost. Boasting a batch of goodies for Guardians to collect, this year’s event will keep you busy as you scramble to earn as much loot as possible before the spooky season ends. As usual with any Destiny event, heading to a specific destination will kick off the event’s quest line, and here’s what you need to know on how to complete the Gone but Not Forgotten quest in Festival of the Lost.
Is Destiny 2’s Gone but Not Forgotten Quest Bugged? Answered
Fair warning, the Gone but Not Forgotten quest line has seen reports of it being bugged, preventing players from completing the quest.
While some players have not experienced this, a vast majority of the Destiny player base has reported an issue with the Gone but Not Forgotten quest line. On step 5, players have reported Spectral Pages have gone missing. Bungie has since issued a statement and are working on a fix at the moment.
Completing the Gone but Not Forgotten Quest
To start the Gone but Not Forgotten quest, head on over to the Tower and speak to Eva Levante. She’ll give you a multistep quest that you’ll need to complete in order freely participate in the Festival of the Lost.
The steps involved in the quest are as follows:
- Speak with Eva to claim your Festival of the Lost mask
- Head to the Tower and speak with Eva. She’ll grant you a Master Rahool inspired mask of your liking. Choose one to progress the quest.
- Equip the Festival of the Lost mask Eva gave you
- Open up your inventory, and in your helmet section, you’ll see the mask Eva gave you. Equip it to complete this step.
- Speak with Eva in the Tower
- Speaking with Eva will grant you three Spectral Pages, a form of currency specifically related to this event.
- Enter a Haunted Sector via the node in your Director. Once there, complete a Summoning Ritual
- On the right side of Eva is a little floating tree hologram. Interact with it to initiate the “Haunted Sector” Playlist. You can also activate the activity from your Director should you not be in the Tower.
- Turn Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages by defeating at least one Headless One and completing the Lost Sector
- This step has been repotted to be bugged.
- Three Guardians are placed into a spooky Lost Sector. The goal is to survive waves of enemies for 5 minutes, while summoning a number of “Headless Ones”. The Headless Ones are summoned by standing in a summoning circle placed on the ground. After summoning one, defeat it and move onto the next.
- After 5 minutes or after defeating 10 Headless Ones, a final boss will appear. In order to defeat the boss, you’ll need to repeat the previous steps by summoning the Headless Fallen Ones, as they will drop “Pumpkin Charges” to break the boss’ immunity field. Breaking the immunity field will allow you to damage the boss until it is slain.
- The Playlist modifiers are “Heavyweight”, Power weapons deal more damage and more power weapon ammo is available, and “Grounded”, where you’ll take more damage while airborne.
- Return to Eva to learn more about your Manifested Pages
- Completing the Haunted Sector will grant you Manifested Pages. Manifested Pages are made by combining Spectral Pages together in the altar on the right of Eva.
- Turn your Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages
- As mentioned in the previous step, head over to the altar to the right of Eva. You’ll open up the Book of the Forgotten, and be tasked with combing Spectral Pages to make one Manifested Page.
- Speak with Eva in the Tower
- After making a Manifested Page, head back to Eva.
- Speak with Eva to claim your rewards
