Currently, the only way to obtain a copy of the DFA is to earn it from a Nightfall Strike. However, it’s important to note that Nightfall weapons rotate weekly, meaning you’ll only have the opportunity to obtain the gun you’re looking for the given week it’s available. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait roughly five weeks before it rolls back around again.

For example, from the week of Tuesday, Oct. 4, to Tuesday, Oct. 11, the DFA is available for all to earn. After that, players will have to wait until it eventually returns later in the season.

To obtain an Adept version of the DFA, you must play the Grandmaster tier of the Nightfall that is featured that given week. For example, The Glassway is the currently featured Nightfall of the week. Players must defeat all the Champion enemies throughout the strike and defeat the final boss to earn a Platinum score.

Completing the GM with a Platinum score will guarantee drop of an Adept version of the Nightfall weapon featured that week.

What Is The God Roll For The DFA In Destiny 2?

In year one of Destiny 2, the DFA was a powerful weapon to use in PvP activities. Now, almost going into year six, the gun can still be a force of nature to use in PvP. The two perks you’re gonna want to look for in the God Roll is Perpetual Motion and Opening Shot.

Perpetual Motion gives the gun bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the wielder is in motion. Opening Shot offers improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of attack. Essentially, these two perks gives the gun the highest boost in stats possible, even pushing it into Exotic levels of stats. It will continue to dominate the game for the foreseeable future.
