Several missions in the Genshin Impact Version 3.0 update feature long and intricate adventures that players can embark on in the new Sumeru map. In this guide, we’ll help you with the Varuna Gatha World Quest, including solving complex puzzles, locating hidden objects, and helping Aranara creatures with the upcoming festival.
How To Complete Varuna Gatha Quest
The Varuna Gatha quest is one of the missions you must finish for Aranyaka: Part 2, located near the Apam Woods. Here is a list of steps you’ll need to take in the first part of this Genshin Impact story:
- Help Arapandu by defeating the enemies around the creature.
- Climb up the large tree to get to the vantage point.
While making your way up the tree, you can use the glowing golden flowers to regain your stamina.
- Defeat the Fungi on the trees and go to the rest stop.
Use the Clusterleaves of Cultivation to travel across the Apam Woods and eliminate your opponents (try not to hit them off the platform because their health will regenerate after they respawn.)
- Find the “branch” and “leaves.”
Look for a place with stones in the designated location.
- Make the three “leaves” turn towards the “branch.”
To put the stone mechanisms in the correct order, turn them in the same direction as the flowing leaves on the ground (the leaves will stop if it’s in the right place.)
After your finish the Genshin Impact puzzle, three new sub-quests will be assigned to you: Memory of Stone, Irate Iron Chunk, and Slumbering Roots.
Varuna Gatha Quest: Memory of Stone
When you go to the waypoint of the Memory of Stone, you’ll encounter the Aranara, Aranakula, near a big log. In this mission, you must escort the creature safely without being caught by any enemies (it will run away if someone sees you.) So, try to time your movements whenever any Fungi get too close or go another way.
Once you get Aranakula safely to the area, it will ask you to find the “branch,” which is inside a cave within the designated location. Then, you’ll have to do another task of making the three “leaves” turn towards the “branch,” where you can follow the flowing leaves and turn the stone mechanisms in the same direction.
The only one that might be hard to find is the last mechanism that is hidden by the Memory Stone, as shown here:
Varuna Gatha Quest: Irate Iron Chunk
The Genshin Impact mission, Irate Iron Chunk, involves a bunch of Ruin Guard fights, in which the creature, Arabalika, will help you immensely in battle. There is another stone mechanism puzzle during this storyline, and it should be straightforward enough like the ones you’ve done in the past.
Eventually, you will have to make your way down a large crater filled with water, and you can drain it by activating the stone cube on the left-hand side.
Varuna Gatha Quest: Slumbering Roots
In order to start the mission, you’ll need to go down a cave within the designated location and play the Rhythm of the Great Dream to find Arakunti. The creature will ask you to find the “branch,” which is near the top of the giant tree in the center (use the Four-Leaf Sigils to transport your character up to the area.)
Players will initiate the song minigame again and participate in the final stone mechanism puzzle, where you should look for the flowing leaves again. Unfortunately, some powerful enemies guard the last one on the ground, and you must fight them to adjust the stone’s position.
When you complete this sub-quest of Varuna Gatha in Genshin Impact, you’ll head over to Varunastra to fix the machine for the Festival Utsava. Then, you must follow a pathway underground and battle the final enemy, Disturbed Fungus.
