The Aranyaka quest is one of the longest storylines in the newest Genshin Impact Version 3.0 update. So, if you need any help along the way, we’ve put together this guide that explains each chapter and what World Quests you’ll need to complete to progress further in this mission.
How To Complete the Aranyaka Quest in Genshin Impact
Players can unlock the Aranyaka Quest by going to a particular area and encountering a few little creatures while walking around Sumeru. Here’s everything you must do to complete this intricate mission within Genshin Impact:
Aranyaka Quest: Part 1
- Trigger the mission by walking the pathway near Gandharva Ville and Vimara Village.
You’ll see Rana getting attacked by enemies while walking near Vimara Village, thus starting the Woodland Encounter World Quest – Aranyaka: Part 1.
- Defeat the enemies.
- Follow Rana.
- Clean up the Withering Zone.
After you follow her, you must help her get rid of the Withering Zone by collecting Dendrograna (Press ‘Summon Dendrograna’ near the green orb) and attacking it with Charged Attacks or Aimed Shots. Be sure to target the smaller branches first and then destroy the Tumor of the Withering once you defeat nearby enemies.
- Go to Vimara Village and continue following Rana.
During this time, you’ll go around Vimara Village and do various tasks, including talking to the locals of the area and telling stories to children.
- Clear up two Withering Zones and defeat Spinocrocodiles.
- Help Rana collect firewood.
The next step in the Aranyaka Quest is to get three firewood for Rana, which has a distinct glow with an arrow that can be found around the designated area. Then, select a Pyro user to light up the campfire.
- Battle the Fatui Members.
Eventually, you’ll encounter two Fatui enemies inside a cave that you’ll need to eliminate. It would be best to use a Hydro and Cyro user to slow them down.
- Save the child, Iotham, in the Withering Zone.
You’ll need to take down another Withering Zone to rescue Iotham and then follow “strange traces” to find Rana in a green orb to begin your next mission.
Aranyaka Quest: Part 2
Once you meet more magical creatures of the forest, you’ll start Dream Nursery – Aranyaka: Part 2. In this part of the mission, you must return to Vimara Village and talk to Amadhiah, where you’ll go to a place called “Vanarana” (the dark area on the Sumeru map.)
Don’t worry too much about getting lost in this new place since it’s relatively easy to find the next part of the quest. You’ll come across a Phantasmal Gate the closer you get to the designated location, in which you’ll need to play the Rhythm of the Great Dream with the Vintage Lyre.
Next, players will need to find Phantasmal Seeds in a limited amount of time. You should start collecting these materials from the wooden platform in front of you and follow the trail from there.
When you collect enough Phantasmal Seeds from this side, you’ll need to circle back to get the rest of them. Players should look around and utilize the Four-Leaf Sigil transportation system (the yellow icon in the image below) to get there faster. Furthermore, every seed gives you additional time to make the experience more accessible.
You’ll be rewarded with some valuable resources when you finish the trial and get the chance to unlock the Statue of The Seven, resulting in a better view of the map. During this period, you must help the Aranaras (the creatures) and accomplish three tasks: two battles with Fungi and one where you’ll have to hit a giant rock repeatedly in order to destroy it.
Players will go through another series of instances that involve taking down a Vanagni threat and playing Rhythm of the Great Dream once again until they are assigned these tasks:
- Organize Festival Utsava: Complete An Unwavering Culinary Dream.
- Help Aranara in forests: Complete Varuna Gatha, Agnihotra Sutra, and Vimana Agama.
- Obtain 3 Vasoma Fruits: Find them in Ashvatta’s Concourses (sacred areas.)
Ashvatta’s Concourses can be triggered by talking to Arakavi, who will appear as a quest in Vanarana. In return, you will get three new missions that include musical minigames to clear blocked areas (use them near Sprouting Branches). In addition, taking a bow-wielder for these quests is recommended because you will need to target floating Dendrograna to unlock certain areas. Here is a list of three adventures you must complete for the Vasoma Fruits in the Aranyaka quest:
- The Rhythm that Leads to the Gloomy Path: Use the Rhythm of the Gloomy Path songs to get through blocked areas.
- The Rhythm that Nurtures the Sprout: Unlocks the Rhythm of the Sprout song.
- The Rhythm that Reveals the Beastly Trail: Use the Rhythm of the Beastly Trail song that can be played near special flowers (be sure to bring a Dendro user to hit the Clusterleaves of Cultivation plant).
Each quest begins with angling your camera to light up the Sumera Roses, so circle around the flowers until they all illuminate. Moreover, these journies all follow the same formula of clearing out Withering Zones and eliminating enemies with an end goal of acquiring all three Vasoma Fruits.
Sprouting Seedlings
The Sprouting Seedlings quest in Genshin Impact is another sub-mission of the Aranyaka storyline that will only occur when you complete the Varuna Gatha World Quest. It doesn’t take up too much of your time and will showcase a few dialogue scenes with the Aranara.
Festival Utsava
Festival Utsava will be unlocked once you do all the required tasks mentioned earlier, where you can go around Vanarana and speak with the creatures you’ve met along the way and make several new friends. Each of them will reward you with flowers for your hard work, with some asking you to participate in fun minigames, such as hide and seek, timed trials, creating meals, and solving riddles.
When you reach the task ‘Get some water for Arapas’, you can select the Taste of Happiness mission to see the waypoint of the Best Water that the Aranara desires.
If you talk to the creature, Araesha, they will give you a series of riddles, and you can find the answers here:
- Apple
- Viparyas
- Starshroom
Besides these tasks, one of the Aranara may be hard to find since you’ll need to go above the festival to reach them. You can utilize the Four-Leaf Sigils to talk to the creature and chat with the rest of the Aranara to complete part two of the Aranyaka quest.
Aranyaka Quest: Part 3
The celebration of Festival Utsava has finished, and you’ll have to go to the Fane of Ashvattha, located in an underwater cave. Before you go inside, you must drain the water in another area to move around freely; you can find the entrance near the underwater Teleport Waypoint within the designated area. However, players must trigger four elemental monuments with a Dendro user to unlock the water-draining mechanisms.
Three of the structures are straightforward enough to unlock, while one of them is within a barrier that has a hidden entryway.
Now that the water has drained, you can go back to the Fane of Ashvatta to talk to Arama, who will take you to the Ashvatta Tree. When you get to this location, you’ll have to clean up a Withering Zone and fight enemies like the Thundercraven Rifthound, so try to be prepared for a challenging fight beforehand.
When you defeat your opponents, you’ll begin a new quest of finding the Inscription of Remembrance in the Old Vanarana. Players must follow Arama in the vast Withering Zone and fight anyone along the pathway. Once you reach the Tumor of the Withering, Arama will help you take it down, and you’ll have to lift seven seals with a Pyro user (stones with a green glow.)
Four of the seal are easy to locate, but the following three are in a hidden area that can only be unlocked by playing a song in front of a flower.
You’ll have to do the same thing again to clear out another barrier by playing a song for the Dendrogranum, as shown here:
Once players lift all seven seals, they need to fight a Ruin Guard that can regenerate its health until Arama finally comes to defeat the enemy.
After you investigate the new area, you will have to defeat Marana’s Avatar, the last enemy of the Genshin Impact Aranyaka quest. But, you should keep following Arama to defeat a nearby Withering Zone before you engage the enemy (the game will tell you when you should start battling your opponent.) Additionally, when Marana’s Avatar regenerates, you’ll need to follow Arama again to clear out a zone and repeat these steps.
Keep in mind that this battle only allows you to play as the Traveler, so try to be within Arama’s radius to replenish your health. If you successfully defeat the enemy, you will have to play the Rhythm of the Great Dream for the last time to get the Bija, the seed of hope for the Aranara. You can use the unique fruit to heal Rana and complete the Aranyaka storyline.
Now that you know how to complete the Aranyaka quest within Genshin Impact, you can celebrate your victory once you accomplish each step. For more content about the game, you can check out the relevant links below and view our guide about how to get Dori.
