Crafting Items in FFXIV Island Sanctuary

Aside from just spending your days gathering random materials and talking to the Felicitous Furball, you’ll need to actually use the materials you’ve gathered to craft new items. This can be done via the little Island Sanctuary menu box on the left side of the screen.

From the menu, click on the little hammer icon to open the Sanctuary Crafting Log. If you’ve been working on your crafting classes, this menu should look instantly familiar to you.

Similar to the regular crafting log, this menu will bring up a list of all the available recipes. Click on the recipe you want, check to make sure you have all the required materials, then click on the Craft button in the bottom right corner. Thankfully, there’s no CP management here so you can craft away to your heart’s content.

Constructing Buildings

Crafting items in Island Sanctuary is a little different from constructing actual buildings and other structures. Whereas the former simply requires you to open up the Sanctuary Crafting Log, bigger structures require you to set aside space, and construct them from a dedicated Logboard.

To construct a building, locate the Logboard on your island and right-click it. This will bring up a list of the required materials, and if you have everything you need, click on the Construct button in the bottom right corner to get started.

That’s all you need to know about how to craft items in FFXIV Island Sanctuary. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on FFXIV patch 6.2, including how to start the new MSQ.
