Get Debug Items in The Sims 4 is a pretty important part of playing this life sim, as there are a ton of items that can be seen but aren’t available for your Sim to use or purchase in the game. It is important to note that prior to unlocking debugs that these items require cheats. On console, using cheats will stop your trophy progress. With that in mind, let’s dive right in.

How to Get Debug Items on PC

In order to gain access to Debug Items on PC, you first need to enable cheats. To do that:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + C
  • Type in ‘testingcheats true’ and then press enter

Now that cheats are enabled, you’ll have to type in two different codes.

  • The first code is “bb.showhiddenobjects” and then press enter
  • The second code is “bb.showliveeditobjects” and press enter again

Once you complete the above steps, you can exit the cheats menu. Head on over to the build/buy shop and search “debug”. The items that were previously hidden will now be available and are marked with **Debug**.

How to Get Debug Items on Console

On console, the process is similar. However, when activating the cheats, the game will alert you that trophy achievement will not be saved.

  • Press all four shoulder buttons on your controller, “L1 + L2 + R1 + R2” on Playstation or “LB + LT + RB + RT” on Xbox
  • Enter “testingcheats true” and followed by pressing “A” on Xbox or “X” on Playstation
  • The game will alert you that trophies will not be available on your current save. Press OK

Provided you accepted the previous condition:

  • Enter “bb.showhiddenobjects” and followed by pressing “A” or “X” on your controller
  • Enter “bb.showliveeditobjects” and followed by pressing “A” or “X” on your controller

I love almost every type of video game, and when I'm not playing them, I'm writing about them... a lot. I have too many favorites to list so feel free to ask about them! Long live Ugly Sonic and the Resident Evil 3 Remake (this is a meme btw).
