If you’re finding that things are a little too easy or hard in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, chances are you’re going to want to know how to change the difficulty settings. This guide will explain where you can find the option to do exactly that, as well as explain what the difficulty options impact when it comes to the gameplay itself.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – How to Change Difficulty Settings
To change difficulty, open the pause menu by pressing X, and then go to ‘Options’ and then ‘Game.’ Here, you’ll find the difficulty option, and you can cycle between them by pressing left and right on the d-pad or analog stick.
There are three difficulty settings to choose from in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 — Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each one will adjust the combat difficulty, meaning you’ll deal more or less damage to enemies, and take more or less damage, too. When playing on higher difficulties, enemies will generally be more skilled in combat, too.
What Does Difficulty Change?
Outside from the difficulty of combat as outlined above, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Difficulty Settings don’t change anything else. You’ll get the same amount of XP and items from enemies on Easy as you will on Hard, but the challenge of combat itself will generally be a lot easier.
