Earlier today on the official Pokemon GO website, it was announced that Community Day Classic will be returning to the game next month. Back in January, the first Community Day Classic event took place featuring Bulbasaur. This time around, the Water-type start from Hoenn, Mudkip, will be the featured Pokemon of the event.

If you played Pokemon GO back during the original Mudkip Community Day, then there’s not much in store for you. Unless you don’t have enough Swampert with Hydro Cannon. It has been a solid Pokemon for the Great League since PvP started and Hydro Cannon still makes it one of the best Water-type attackers in raids.

Plus, since this is a Community Day event, that also means the rate at which shiny Mudkip appears in the wild will be increased. So if you missed out on getting a shiny with good IVs or if you just don’t have any at all, then this is your opportunity to change that.

Like other Community Day events, there will also be a Special Research story ticket available for $1. Of course, the tasks in this story will be focused on the featured Pokemon, Mudkip, as well as its evolutions, Marshtomp and Swampert.

Also available in the Shop will be a free box with 30 Ultra Balls inside and a paid box (850 PokeCoins) containing 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, one Elite Fast TM, and one Remote Raid Pass.

Finally, the bonuses for the Mudkip Community Day Classic event can be found listed below:

  • 3x Catch XP
  • Incense duration increased to three hours
  • Lure duration increased to three hours
  • Mudkip will photobomb snapshots

You can check out Mudkip Community Day Classic in Pokemon GO when the event goes live on Sunday, April 10 at 2 PM local time. But it’s important to keep in mind that the event is only three hours long. However, any Marshtomp evolved into Swampert during the event and up to two hours after it ends will learn Hydro Cannon.
