Ghostwire Tokyo is Tango Gameworks first proper foray into an open-world formula. Having refined its craft in the ‘The Evil Within’ series, the developer has now taken its somewhat spooky antics to an open-world rendition of Tokyo in Japan. Filled with spirits and other supernatural goings-on, Ghostwire Tokyo looks set to offer up an open-world experience unlike anything we’ve had for quite some time. If you can’t wait to dive into all the action, you’re likely curious what the deal is with Ghostwire Tokyo’s preload, unlock times and install sizes, and we’ve got all the info right here for you.
Ghostwire Tokyo Preload Times
Depending on the edition of Ghostwire Tokyo you’re buying, you’ll be able to begin preloading the game on different dates.
For the standard edition, you can begin preloading Ghostwire Tokyo on March 23, while those who have picked up the Deluxe Edition can preload as of March 20.
This information was shared via the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account. At the time of writing, it remains to be seen when preload will begin on PC, though it’s likely it’ll fall in-line with the PlayStation preload dates above.
When Can You Start Playing Ghostwire Tokyo?
Those who have pre-ordered the standard edition of the game will be able to begin playing Ghostwire Tokyo on March 25.
The Deluxe Edition of the game offers up three days early access, so you’ll be able to begin playing as of March 22.
What the Ghostwire Tokyo Install Sizes Are on PS4, PS5 & PC
Ghostwire Tokyo weighs in at a fairly light 19.51 GB on PS5, and 16.84 GB on PC. This is with the day-one patch included, hence the discrepancy between this figure and the one provided by PlayStation Game Size in the tweet embedded above.
We’re still awaiting confirmation on the PS4 file size, but we’d hazard a guess it’ll be around the same 20 GB mark.
