As you’ve been exploring the wondrous world of Tunic, you’ve probably noticed a bunch of sealed grey doors that have some sort of pattern etched into them. Like most other things in the game, there’s no clear instructions on how you’re supposed to actually open these, or even if you can. Well, the good news is your hunch — assuming you had one — was correct, and you can get them open to reveal the secrets lurking inside. Here’s everything you need to know on opening sealed doors in Tunic.
Opening Sealed Doors with Patterns in Tunic
To open sealed doors, you need to use the d-pad (or arrow keys on your keyboard) to map out the pattern on the door.
The clue to opening these sealed doors doesn’t come until later on in the game when you pick up page 43 of the instruction manual.
To explain this, we’ve included an example of one below.
To open the door in the image above, you’d therefore want to enter the following input into your d-pad, arrow keys: Up, Right, Down, Left, Down, Right, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down, Left.
Sometimes, you’ll need to try inputting the pattern on either side of the door as, in our experience, it’s not always clear which side you should enter. We also found this to be a little bit finnicky in general, but if you try entering the patterns in their different forms enough, it does tend to open up.
That’s everything you need to crack open those grey doors in Tunic. For more tips, tricks and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite or see more of our coverage on the game below.
