Tunic offers up an epic and magical adventure that harks back to the days of old-school instruction manuals and vague clues for your adventure. It’s also clearly inspired by the likes of The Legend of Zelda, right down to the outfit and gear that the fox protagonist has at its disposal. While we know that Tunic is coming to Xbox consoles and PC, that’s got some players wondering if Tunic is coming to Game Pass.
Is Tunic Releasing on Game Pass for Xbox & PC?
Update: 03/16/22: Tunic has released day-one on Xbox Game Pass, despite publisher Finji suggesting earlier this year that it wouldn’t be, as noted below. To download the game with your Game Pass subscription, go to the Xbox Store, search for Tunic, and then select the ‘Install’ option.
Original: No, Tunic is not releasing on either Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass for PC. That means that if you want to buy this epic little adventure, you’ll instead need to buy it.
The news was confirmed by the game’s publisher, Finji, who made it clear by saying ”Tunic is not an Xbox Game Pass title,” when replying to a fan on Twitter who asked if it would be earlier this year.
Given this announcement came just over a couple of months ago, it’s highly unlikely the situation is going to change anytime soon. However, never say never. Microsoft has surprised players in the past by adding titles they never imagined would come to the subscription service’s library. As such, there’s always a chance that Tunic could be added to Xbox Game Pass further down the line, in maybe 6 months to a year or maybe longer.
For now, if you’re looking to play the game, you can buy Tunic from Steam on PC, or via the Microsoft Store if you’re wanting to play on Xbox.
That’s everything you need to know on whether or not Tunic is coming to Game Pass. For more tips, tricks and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite or click on the links below.
