Third-party developers have revealed interesting assets and details about upcoming scenery and aircraft add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
We start with Just Flight, which provided a new look at the BAE 146.
The exterior (model, textures, and animations) is completed, while only early work has been done on cockpit animations and systems. The developer mentions that there is plenty of work left to be done, but they hope to show more before the Christmas break.
FlyByWire also showcased a video of its development progress on the A32NX open-source Airbus A320 Neo project. Specifically, we take a look at the hydraulic steering and the ability to separate tiller and pedals.
Next we take a look at a single but impressive progress screenshot of Milano Malpensa (LIMC) in Italy by Saviart.
Gate15Scenery also showcased work-in-progress shots of Nanki–Shirahama Airport (RJBD) in Japan.
Scenic Routes had a tease to share, and more precisely a look at Kefalonia Airport (LGKF) in Greece. While it’s not a large airport, it’s definitely very scenic, and hosts many seasonal flights from all over Europe in the summer.
Last, but not least, developer Paulo Ricardo released a very impressive rendition of Santos Dumont Airport (SBRJ) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
What makes this even more impressive is the fact that it isn’t just high-quality scenery, but it also comes with tons of landmarks for the city itself.
You can find it on the Brazillian Geardown Simulations marketplace for R$49.00 (that translates into approximately $9. This option requires the use of an installer in Portuguese, but it’s extremely affodable.
Otherwise, you can find it on SimMarket for $19 plus applicable VAT. You can find plenty of screenshots below.
Recently, we published our latest interview with head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann and we heard more about Microsoft’s plans for the next few months, including World Update Australia.
