Unlocking Weapon Variants, Weapons & Vehicles

You’ll unlock your standard UNSC weapons and vehicles by completing missions and earning Valor. Your Valor then unlocks things, which can be checked on the FOB tab of the menu (accessed by pressing the View button).

The more interesting weapons, however, are the unique weapon variants. These give you standard Halo weapons with a twist. For example, you can get the Skewer with explosive rounds, making for a particularly lethal sniper.

These unique weapon variants are unlocked when you take down a High Value Target in the Banished’s forces. These are marked on your map with a red target icon.
