How to Evolve Misdreavus Into Mismagius in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Your quest in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remains largely the same as it has been in previous entries in the series. You need to catch ’em all, beat the Elite Four and stop Team Galactic from harnessing the power of the Legendary Pokemon before it’s too late. If you’re looking to complete your Pokedex, then you’re going to need to get and evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and we’ll explain exactly how to do that below.

To evolve Misdreavus, you’ll need to use a Dusk Stone on it. This is done by opening your bag, selecting the Dusk Stone, and then choosing to use it on a Misdreavus that’s in your Party.

When you do this, Misdreavus will immediately begin to evolve in a short animation, like any other Pokemon.

Getting a Dusk Stone

Of course, the tricky part of this is actually getting the Dusk Stone itself. You can find one in the basement of the Wayward Cave as a hidden item.

It’s right in the southwest corner of the area, though, so we’d recommend getting a bunch of repels and an escape rope to make your trip down there that little bit easier.

Another Dusk Stone can be found in the northwest corner of the room of Victory Road. You’ll need to use strength to move the boulders to the north, and then you’ll be able to reach it.

Getting Misdreavus

Misdreavus can be caught in both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in the following locations:

  • Dazzling Cave
  • Eterna Forest
  • Lost Tower
  • Stargleam Cavern
