Microsoft Flight Simulator news doesn’t really slow down on weekends, and today’s update is going to be rather geographically focused down-under.
Let’s start with an aircraft, which is the least geographically-focused news, but still rather active in Australia and New Zealand.

We then move unequivocally down-under with Impulse Simulations revealing new images of Bankstown Airport (YSBK) in Australia.
Orbx released its Auckland City Pack, which can be purchased on Orbx Direct for $10.11.
Here’s what you can expect from the capital of New Zealand.
- High-detail custom landmarks include Auckland Harbour Bridge, Sky Tower, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Eden Park Stadium, and the entire downtown waterfront between the Ferry Building and Hobson Wharf.
- More than 100 medium-detail custom buildings showcase the unique architecture of historic and new Auckland.
- Several buildings with rooftop helipads, with additional landing areas on moored vessels and at the Mechanics Bay heliport.
- Animated features on both water and land.
- Custom orthoimagery for downtown Auckland and the entire Waitematā Harbour waterfront.
- Many enhancements to the city and surrounding areas: improved vegetation and building placements, static boats, vessels, cranes, antennae, etc.
- Extensive terraforming and shoreline adjustments across the coverage area.
- Custom night lighting based on real-world photography.
Last, but not least, NZA Simulations announced Mount Cook Aerodrome (NZMC), which is developed by new hire Sergio Del Rosso, whom many may know for some awesome freeware airports like Milford Sound and Saint Mortiz.
