Is New World Coming to Xbox Consoles?

At the time of writing, Amazon Games is not planning to bring New World to any other platform aside from Windows PC.

The only official word we have regarding New World’s platform choices is in the official FAQ which states ‘New World will only be available on PC.

While this may come as disappointing news to console players hoping to hop into Amazon Games’ MMO, there’s nothing to say that things can’t and won’t change sometime in the future. If the game proves to be a hit with PC players and there’s enough demand for it, there’s always the chance the development team will look to bring it to consoles at some point in the future.

For now, though, there’s nothing to say that will happen, and given the servers are already struggling to cope with the influx of players, there’s likely a lot of issues that need to be ironed out in the PC build first before they consider bringing the game to other platforms.

The good news is that New World doesn’t have the most demanding PC requirements, so you may even be able to run the game on a laptop or older PC. Combine this with the fact that the game is free-to-play once you’ve bought it — in other words there’s no monthly subscription fee to pay — and New World is more accessible, with fewer barriers to entry than other games in the genre.

That’s everything you need to know regarding a New World Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One port. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
