As part of Animal Crossing New Horizon’s 1.11.0 update, Nintendo has made some tweaks and added some new items to the Fireworks Festival that runs throughout August. One such item is a Boba Tea drink that your character can hold and sip away on as the pretty explosions illuminate the night sky. You can’t just buy Boba Tea from Tom Nook, though. Here’s how to get Boba Tea in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Getting Boba Tea in Animal Crossing New Horizons
To get Boba Tea in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you’ll need to wait until the Fireworks Festival takes place each Sunday in August from 7pm until midnight.
During this time, Redd will set up a stall called Redd’s Raffle outside your town hall/ resident services building. Speak to Redd, and you can buy a raffle ticket for 500 Bells each.
The Boba Tea item is one of 12 new items added to the game, so you’ll need to cross your fingers and hope that you can get lucky. Fortunately, with the raffle tickets being so cheap, you can keep buying them until you finally get Boba Tea in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

Does Boba Tea Hint at Brewster & the Roost’s Return?
The Roost was a little coffee shop located in the basement of the museum in previous Animal Crossing titles. Unfortunately, Brewster and his shop were missing from New Horizons when it was released last year and has been a popular request from fans ever since.
With the inclusion of some items like Boba Tea, Boba Coffee, and green teas being added into the game as part of the latest Fireworks Festival update, some believe this is hinting at the return of Brewster in the near future. This would also align with the fact that Nintendo recently announced it hadn’t forgotten about the game and it was planning on releasing new content in the coming months.
