Fortnite IO Access Card Location: How to Collect an Access Card from an IO Guard

As part of Fortnite’s week 8 challenges, players need to ‘Collect an access card from an IO Guard.’ In order to obtain this quest, you’ll first need to get Slone’s orders from a payphone. After you’ve done this, you’ll kick off the week 8 legendary questline. Completing the challenge to collect an access card will reward you with 45,000 XP to help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 battle pass. How to Collect an IO Access Card from an IO Guard in Fortnite

To collect an IO Access Card, you’ll need to down an IO Guard. IO Guards can be found dotted around the map, but the easiest place to find them is at Corny Complex and the underground base that lies beneath it.

When you first land here, you should find some IO Guards wandering around the main house and the red barn building. Simply land, pick up a weapon and hunt down an IO Guard.

Once you’ve done this, the IO Guard should drop the IO Access Card. Simply run over to it and press and hold X/ Y/ Square/ E to pick it up.

It’s worth pointing out that you don’t actually have to kill an IO Guard. Once you’ve downed them, they’ll drop their access card, leaving you to run in and sweep it up.

Upon completing this legendary quest, you’ll unlock the next one, which requires you to plant wiretaps in different key locations.
