Sweep Up Any Remaining Collectibles

There are a bunch of collectibles in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart; eight types and 174 individual items to pick up, to be precise. And yes, there are a bunch of trophies tied to getting almost all of them.

You’ll need to find 9 CraiggerBears, 30 Blizon Crystals, 10 Spyboys, 60 Zurpstones, 5 Gold Bolts, 3 Lorbs, and 3 Armor Parts, not to mention completing all 5 Glitch Challenges. That may sound like a lot, but the good news is that the collectibles aren’t too tricky to find, and exploring each of the worlds is a ton of fun, too.

This should be your first port of call when it comes to Rift Apart’s post-game, as it’s also the most time-consuming. If you want to mix and match some of the other things you can do after beating the game, that might help keep things varied rather than feeling like a big ol’ grind.

Clear Out Any Side Quests

Both Ratchet and Rivet will meet a colorful cast of characters that need their help. While these aren’t breaking any new ground when it comes to side quests as a whole, they’re a perfect reason to spend a little time playing through the game, just so you can see them all and polish them off.

You’re not going to miss out on anything if you don’t check them out, but given there’s only one on each world, it shouldn’t take you too long to complete them all anyway. Besides, they’re a fun excursion and can help you grind out any extra Bolts you may need for weapon upgrades and the like.

Play Through Challenge Mode

Challenge Mode is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s version of New Game Plus. It allows you to play through the entire story all over again, but with all your weapons, inventory, upgrades, and most of your Collectibles with you. It also ramps up the difficulty of the game to provide a tougher challenge for your second playthrough.

There’s no trophy tied to beating the game on Challenge mode, but if you are going for the platinum, you’ll at least need to boot it up and unlock two weapons that are exclusive to this post-game mode.

Outside of that, whether you play through the entirety of the game again in Challenge Mode is entirely optional.

Get Every Weapon

If you’re looking to 100% Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – and get the platinum trophy as a symbol of all the time and effort you’ve poured into the game – then you’ll need to make sure you get every single weapon.

Alas, two of these weapons aren’t available in your first playthrough of the game, so you will need to jump into Challenge Mode upon beating the story to get the Pixelizer and Bouncer respectively.

You’ll be awarded with the ‘Fully Stacked’ gold trophy for your troubles, and can now have a blast with the outrageous weaponry on offer.

Show Off Your Photography Skills in Photo Mode

There isn’t a trophy tied to Rift Apart’s photo mode, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t big fans of it all the same.

There’s an extensive amount of options to help you customize and finetune your screenshots to make them really look the part. From lighting type, color, intensity, and placement to angling the camera, adding stickers, and so, so many more, you’ll find you’ve got everything you need to make some really artsy shots.

Why do we suggest you play around with photo mode after beating the game? Because by that point, you’ll have seen all the different environments and enemies the game has to offer. You’ll know where to get the most serene environment shots, moody metropolis skylines, or cracking combat stills.

Plus, photo modes are a great way to spend more time appreciating the fantastic world developer Insomniac Games has created.

Get the Platinum Trophy

After ticking off everything else on our list here, chances are you’ll be incredibly close to unlocking the platinum trophy, if you haven’t already.

Some trophies you may have missed are likely those which require you to interact with objects in different areas. For example, the ‘Hey Lombax DJ’ trophy requires you to find the jukebox next to the bar at little Zurkies and interact with it to play different songs. Another, called ‘Lombax and Chill’, requires you to turn on the TV in Rivet’s Hideout on Sargasso – Outpost L51.

Other players may need to complete a Battleplex Challenge or a Gold Cup Battleplex Challenge. Whatever it is you have left, tick them off and then look proudly on at the shiny platinum trophy all your hard work has resulted in.
