In anime, most of the villains that oppose our heroic protagonists tend to live in some pretty dumpy places. Whether it’s the rundown bar of the League of Villains in My Hero Academia or the Akatsuki’s cave in Naruto, these hideouts definitely aren’t ones you’d want to stay in overnight.
And while that certainly makes sense, considering the age-old adage that crime never pays, there are some extraordinary exceptions to that rule. These are the four villain hideouts that are cool enough to be on Airbnb.

Teppelin – Gurren Lagann
Cool Anime Villain Hideouts
In the world of Gurren Lagann, there is no place you’d rather live than in Teppelin, the beastmen headquarters and home of the show’s antagonists, Lordgenome. This massive drill-shaped fortress is so big, it touches the clouds, meaning there is plenty of space to stretch your legs and set up shop throughout.
On top of the space, Teppelin is also the safest place in the neighborhood, as it has its own security system and armed patrols to help keep out pesky human attackers. There is no place on the planet that you’ll feel more comfortable.
Considering the alternative is to live underground with very little resources, light, or food, Teppelin is also quite literally paradise by comparison.
En’s Mansion – Dorohedoro
Cool Anime Villain Hideouts
When it comes to Dorohedoro, there are very few places that you’d really want to call home. Whether it is the complete chaos of The Hole or the equally crazy streets of The Magic User World, pretty much anywhere you pick will be considerably dangerous.
Since that is the case, you may as well shack up at the nicest house in the area, En’s Mansion. Even though it is still pretty dangerous itself, as there is a good chance you may get turned into a mushroom, this palace is massive. It features hundreds of rooms inside of it and just as many buildings surrounding it.
Taking up residence here gives you access to pretty much an entire town’s worth of locations and activities, as it has cafes, parks, and storage buildings alongside other houses.
The Villain Beach – Jujutsu Kaisen
Cool Anime Villain Hideouts
It isn’t very often that the villains of an anime hang out in the most serene and relaxing area within it. That is definitely the case in Jujutsu Kaisen though, as Geto and company can often be found relaxing on their secret beach hideout.
This villain beach is the epitome of a tropical oasis, boasting cool breezes, lush plant life, sparkling water, and consistent sun throughout the day. It is the perfect spot to relax under an umbrella, get a tan, or even play soccer with Jogo’s head.
The best part? This beach is locals-only, bruddah. The only way to reach it is to pass through a specific apartment that hides a Domain within it.
The only people that can get in through this Domain are the ones that are aware of it or given permission. That means there are no shoobies on this beach.
Villa Rosa Sasazuka – Devil Is a Part-Timer
Cool Anime Villain Hideouts
While Sadao Maou is the protagonist of Devil Is a Part-Timer, he’s also technically still a villain. As such, we thought it only right to include his humble abode on this list.
Despite the name, Villa Rosa Sasuzuka isn’t the most luxurious place in the world, as it has basic amenities like a kitchen, living room, and other small appliances. Still, there is no denying that Maou’s apartment has a homely feeling to it, especially when compared to most villains’ usual dank cave dwellings.
It’s actually pretty great location-wise, too. Any place that is within biking distance of downtown is well worth sacrificing space for. Fair warning, though, it does come with a very flirtatious and persuasive landlady.
