Fortunately, we’ve been in the same boat. That’s why after we discovered how to do it, we recorded everything we learned and compiled it into the guide you’ll find down below.

How to Heal Your Health in It Takes Two

Healing is a fairly straightforward process, as it’s only available during specific moments in the game.

Namely, you’ll only be able to heal in It Takes Two whenever one of your characters loses all of their health. When this occurs, the person playing as that character will need to rapidly press the triangle button on PlayStation consoles or the Y button on Xbox consoles.

This will resurrect the character after the button has been pressed enough times. From there, you’ll be able to continue playing as normal, and can repeat this healing process whenever one of your characters is knocked out.

Can You Heal When Both Characters Are Knocked Out?

However, it’s worth noting that there are limits to when you can heal in It Takes Two.

For one, you can’t revive your characters if both are knocked out at the same time. When this occurs, you’ll be transported to the last checkpoint and will need to replay any segments that weren’t recorded.

Likewise, you can’t heal a character that has fallen into a pit or water hazard during platforming segments. When this happens, you’re automatically sent back to a checkpoint and will have to redo the segment until you clear it.

Hopefully this cleared up how to heal your health in It Takes Two. For more on the game, be sure to visit our wiki or check out more of our coverage down below.
