Season 2 of Warzone has begun and the cargo ship has crashed into Verdansk. There’s more than empty crates on board, though, as undead crawl around the lower decks. This is the first time that zombies have made an appearance in the main Warzone battle royale mode. Over the course of Season 2, they’ll probably make their way across Verdansk, but they can only be found in one specific place at the launch of the season.

How to Find Zombies in Warzone

To find zombies, you’ll have to head to the shipwreck between Port and Prison at the south of the Warzone map.

At the start of the season, you can expect a lot of people to drop there to check out what’s new. For those who survive, you’ll be able to head down to the lower decks to look for the undead. They’ll be wandering and crawling around down there, so take them out like you would any enemy.

If you’re one of the first Operators there, you might have to interact with a terminal to ‘start the zombies event.’

Thankfully, they don’t tend to have much health once they do spawn, so they’re nice and easy to kill. There’ll be a few, though, so keep your wits about you.

What They Drop After Being Killed

Every zombie drops a little bit of ammo, money, and one armor, but some will drop something a little more useful. After you kill one of the zombies in Warzone, keep an eye out for a yellow key card that you can pick up.

Unlike the red ones you’ll have found across Verdansk in past seasons, these yellow cards don’t open bunkers. Instead, they’re used to open yellow crates that you’ll spot throughout the shipwreck.

Grab the key card, head to a chest, open it up, and you’ll find a bunch of loot. Money, ammo, all the usual stuff, but more than you’ll be used to getting from standard loot chests. Not every zombie drops a keycard, so it might take you a while to get into a yellow chest, especially if other players have come with you.

That’s everything you need to know about how to find zombies and what they drop in Warzone. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
