While you’ll also find arrows lying around in Valheim’s various biome, you’ll need to craft them regularly to keep your bow topped up. That’s where feathers come in.

How to Get Feathers in Valheim

Thankfully, feathers are quite easy to get your hands on. As you explore the meadows and black forest biomes, you’ll often see them just lying on the ground. That’s because they’re dropped by birds in the game. It happens naturally as you play, so you’ll come across them on the ground quite regularly.

If you’re impatient and don’t want to wait for them to drop naturally, you can shoot birds down with your bow and collect feathers from them. They’ll land on the ground or trees every so often, making them easy to shoot at, so try not to waste arrows firing while they fly around. After all, there’s no point wasting arrows trying to get materials that are used to make… arrows.

We’ve also noticed that you’ll often find feathers in chests when you loot them. If you spot one and you’re short of arrows, crack it open and grab what is inside.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get feathers in Valheim. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
