Genshin Impact contains a few quests and missions that can be pretty odd. The Poetry Exchange commission is one of them, as part of it doesn’t even use English. If you’re a bit confused, here’s how to complete the Poetry Exchange commission in the smoothest way possible.

Unlocking Commissions

Poetry Exchange is one of the daily commissions in Genshin Impact. To unlock daily commissions, you’ll need to complete the Every Day a New Adventure world quest after leveling up enough to reach Adventure Rank 12.

After unlocking them, you’ll be given four commissions to finish each day that provide rewards upon their completion. Typically, there are three basic commissions (defeating random enemies) and one more involved one given to you by an NPC. Poetry Exchange is in the latter category.

Avoiding Combat

Genshin Impact’s Poetry Exchange commission is given to you by a little girl named Ella Musk. She’s a Hilichurl scholar who aims to study their language.

For this task, she asks that you speak to a Hilichurl after giving you the Draft Lines of Hilichurlian Poetry item. If you read it, it’ll help you learn some of their language in order to complete Poetry Exchange peacefully.

This commission can be completed through combat, but to earn an in-game achievement, you’ll need to select the correct dialogue options when speaking to the Hilichurl. Here’s what you need to say:

  • “Celi dada, Mimi nunu.”
  • “Muhe ye.”
  • “Ye dada!”

After choosing these options, you’ll be able to simply return to Ella Musk without having to eliminate every single Hilichurl in the immediate area.

That’s everything you need to know about how to peacefully complete Poetry Exchange in Genshin Impact. If you’re looking for more tips on the game, be sure to check out our Genshin Impact guide wiki.
