Cyberpunk 2077: How to Restore RAM

Cyberpunk 2077 is easily the most hotly anticipated video game release of 2020, and for good reason, too. Aside from its gritty sci-fi aesthetic setting it apart from most other open-world games, it’s also the latest project from CD Projekt Red, best known for their work on the Witcher series. Here’s how to restore RAM in Cyberpunk 2077.

Restoring RAM in Cyberpunk 2077

Because this is a sci-fi game, you’ll spend some of your time hacking into computers and camera systems, and making use of your cybernetics to hack enemies and distract them as well. However, in order to do so, you’ll need RAM, which you can think of as your mana or MP bar in Cyberpunk 2077.

At the start of the game, your Cyberdeck will start you out with four RAM slots, which severely limits the amount of hacking you can do. You can get better Cyberdecks later on, which increase your base RAM as well as the number of quickhacks you can equip, but before you reach that point, you’ll probably want to know how you can restore your RAM so that you can be more efficient with your hacking.

By default, your RAM will only replenish when you’re out of combat. This means that if you use it all up in a single combat encounter, you’ll need to clear that encounter first or run away in order to get your RAM back.

That being said, you can spend a Perk Point in the Intelligence skill tree to allow V to restore RAM automatically even while in combat.

Head to the Quickhacking skill tree under the Intelligence category and grab the Biosynergy skill. You can upgrade it three times, which increases the amount of RAM V gets back every 60 seconds. A minute is still a really long time when you’re caught in a gun fight, but if you’re being stealthy, being patient while waiting for your RAM to restore can be really helpful.

That’s all you need to know about how to restore RAM in Cyberpunk 2077. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
