Custom Emblems have been a bit of a fan-favorite feature in the Black Ops entries for quite some time now. With 2020 seeing the Call of Duty franchise returning to the Black Ops series once more, some players are wondering if there are custom emblems in Black Ops Cold War.

For those unaware, custom emblems was essentially a feature that allowed players to create their own emblem. They could use existing emblems as a template, or start the entire thing from scratch if they really wanted to get their creative juices flowing.

This is a feature that’s been synonymous with the Black Ops series for quite some time now, but hasn’t always featured in other Call of Duty games.

Can You Create Your Own Custom Emblems in Black Ops Cold War?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing it appears as though you cannot create custom emblems in Black Ops Cold War.

Activision and Treyarch have both made no mention of the feature coming to the game, and while it’s possible it could come as part of a future, post-launch update, chances are that maps and more gameplay-focused content will be the priority for these instead.

The reasoning for the feature not being included in the game remains unclear, too. Though given this allows players to put potentially explicit images or material in the game, the developer may have seen removing the feature as a means of protecting the game’s community from seeing things they may not want to see.

While it may not be the news you wanted to hear, it’s sadly what we’ve got to deal with right now. If there’s any update on custom emblems coming to Black Ops Cold War, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
