Saving Your Game in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a massive game, so it’s only natural that you’re going to want to know how to save your game and record your progress so that you can pick it back up whenever you want to.

The game does feature an auto-save system and checkpoints somewhat regularly. You’ll know that the auto-save function has kicked in whenever you see the glowing green symbol pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen. When you see it, you’ll know that it’s safe to quit out of the game and whenever you start back up, you’ll continue from that checkpoint.

You can also manually record your progress, which is recommended especially at the end of a play session. To do this, bring up the menu with the touchpad or the Menu button on Xbox One, then press left on the d-pad to go to the options menu.

From here, click on the Save Game option, then choose a slot that you want to save in. You can have multiple files to allow for easier access to earlier parts of the game, in case you’ve missed something or want to revisit an earlier chapter.

After you’ve recorded your progress, you can select the Quit Game option in that same menu to quit out. The next time you boot up the game, either pick the Continue option to load the latest file, or pick Load Game to choose the slot you want to load from.

That’s all you need to know about how to save your game in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
