Today hello games announced a next-generation update for its popular space game No Man’s Sky.
The improvements will come for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and even PC if you use Ultra settings. They will be available at the new consoles’ launch and the upgrade will come for free for existing owners.
Planetary terrain will feature thicker grass, flowers, fungi, and rocks, with higher resolution textures and more detailed 3D models. Within the Xbox family, this will be available only on Xbox Series X and not on Series S.
base construction will allow larger and more complex builds, and your current saves will be available on next-gen.
Multiplayer will be upgraded to up to 32 players per session and cross-play will be supported across all platforms.
PS5 and Xbox Series X will support 4K and 60 FPS, while Xbox Series S will have to choose between frame rate or resolution.
PlayStation 5 users will be able to enjoy DualSense support and the new 3D audio technology will also be implemented.
If you play on PlayStation VR, you can still do so on PS5 thanks to the console’s backward compatibility.
