FIFA 21 UCL Cards: How to Get Champions League Players

Once again, the UCL special cards are back for FIFA 21 and they’ll likely be used for a variety of objectives and SBCs throughout the year. They work in the same way as last year too, being exactly the same cards as their base golds, but blue in color and Champions League themed. If you’re looking to get some, either for your squad or to use in SBCs, here’s everything you need to know about how to get Champions League players (UCL cards) in FIFA 21.

Before you go hunting for them, do note that UCL Cards aren’t worth anymore than standard golds for most of the year. They won’t upgrade at all and they have the same discard value as standard cards.

How to Get Champions League Players (UCL Cards) in FIFA 21

Once again, you’ll get Champions League cards from packs or the transfer market. They’ll be added into the pool of items that can be found in gold packs, alongside their gold counterparts, and can be packed as normal.

They’re no rarer than their normal versions, so you shouldn’t find packing them too difficult.

At the time of writing however, on Oct. 12, UCL cards haven’t been made fully live in-game just yet. EA Sports will likely tie their release to the first round of group games, which is set to take place during the week commencing Oct. 19, but four have accidentally been released ahead of time.

Alfred Gomis, Sean Klaiber, Ruben Dias, and Sergino Dest Champions League cards can all be found in packs now and they will stay there. EA Sports tweeted to say that their release was an accident, but that they will stay there, with the others to follow at a later date.

You can buy UCL cards from the transfer market too. While you’ll have to look through the gold cards for the four cards that are available early, you’ll be able to search by Champions League player by selecting it in the rarity section of the transfer market once everything is out officially.
