Thanks to the new Super Mario 3D All Stars collection on the Nintendo Switch, people will be experiencing some of the most iconic platformers for the first time ever. If this is your first time playing Sunshine (or if you just need a reminder), here’s how to unlock all nozzles in Super Mario Sunshine.
How to Unlock All Nozzles in Super Mario Sunshine
You might notice some transparent boxes scattered around Isle Delfino. These contain different nozzle attachments for FLUDD that can only be opened up once they are fully unlocked.
Getting the Turbo Nozzle
The Turbo Nozzle will only appear in Super Mario Sunshine once you finally obtain 25 Shine Sprites by completing the various stages at the beginning of the game. It’s worth noting that you’ll also need to have Yoshi unlocked too before this nozzle can be yours. You can read more about getting Yoshi here in this guide.
Once you have Yoshi and those 25 Sprites, Shadow Mario will pop up in Delfino Plaza and you’ll need to chase him down and spray water on him until he stops running away. Once you accomplish this, the Turbo Nozzle will be available for you to use and it lets you run very, very fast across bodies of water.
Getting the Rocket
And as far as unlocking the Rocket Nozzle in Super Mario Sunshine. You just need to get 30 Shine Sprites and then complete the same Shadow Mario chase sequence in Delfino Plaza.
He’ll drop the nozzle on the ground and Mario can use it to launch himself high in the sky. Who knows… you might even be able to make it to the top of the Shine Gate.
And that’s all you need to know about how to unlock all nozzles for Super Mario Sunshine as part of the Mario 3D All Stars collection on Switch. If you’re on the hunt for even more tips and tricks, make sure to check out our extensive Guide Wiki that covers all three games.
